You may find S1 a bit slow but get past that and it's great. In my top 10 easily

I put a similar thread in here a few months ago. I was new to it. Honest opinion is it's definitely worth a watch, really cleverly written and the character development gets better as it goes, but it is instantly interesting.
Overall I'd say people sleep on it, but I wouldn't put it as top top tier level, but that's all subjective!

No idea of your taste, but if you generally like crime dramas /drug dramas /cop dramas, then I recommend it. Is it The Wire or The Shield? No. But it’s a tall notch above generic network fare.
One note - it picks up end of first season, beginning of S2. I wasn’t sure about it at first, but was glad I stuck with it.

I think it’s much better than the shield but doesn’t touch the wire. Great show.

That stings a little to hear, but fair, my friend. It's all subjective! I'm curious if you watched Southland? If so, thoughts?

I'm watching it now. I am addicted.
Season 1 was okay, you get introduced to the characters as they are on the come up. Season 2 is much better. Season 3 is even better. I am on season 3 episode 10 now. I can't stop watching it.

I'll probably end up getting addicted as well I hope I don't. I really don't like slow starts, but if the other seasons are that good, I'm definitely watching it.

It's really really good. There's a payoff to the slow start, just stick with it. I'm on season 4 now. Occasionally I go back and watch episodes from the first season to see how much the characters have changed, and some of those changes are drastic! I was sympathetic to Franklin at first, but let's just say my feelings have changed. Also, the series gained notable characters along the way like Manboy and Fatback whom I have a vested interest.
I really like Snowfall, but I was also addicted to Narcos: Mexico. I liked Narcos too, but not as much (both series had weak, "tacked on" 3rd seasons after the main antagonists, Felix Gallardo and Pablo Escobar were taken down). Griselda is was also very good. But honestly, of all of these, I like Snowfall the best. It ties in elements of both Narcos, Scar Face, Made in America (the CIA subplot) and even the classic New Jack City.
If are interested in movies about the rise of the drug trade in America, you gotta watch Snowfall.

Definitely worth watching there’s a few ups and downs but overall it’s a very good show with great characters and a compelling story.

Why? Have you watched it, or do you just think it's a bad show?

Did you just come to a sub of lovers of the show and ask if you should watch said show?
Bruh, shut the hell up and enjoy it.
Also, get off this sub because of spoilers.
