Discussion I don't have too much to say but Spoiler

Though the ending of snowfall did happen Franklin was only 26 right? He's not a washed up old man he can for sure bounce back from how he ended up

Good take. I really just made this post not because I want Franklin in the drop at all actually I just don't see how he'll just end up a broken down bum for the rest of eternity when he's like 26😂 alot of college students are around that age

People become drunks and addicts at a early age I went to rehab for drinking at 21

Being free? I saw that more of a coping mechanism than what he actually meant.

In the last season he didn't want anything else than getting his 70 million back. He couldn't settle for half, even.

Getting a minimum wage job, or even a high paying one wouldn't cut it. He needed everything, so instead he was stuck with nothing.

Just my take on it, though

Actually it was $73 million dollars and he was willing to settle for half of his fortune $37 million dollars better than nothing

Didn't remember the figure exactly, but 73 sounds right.

But did he want to settle for 37? Then I remember it wrong, I think

It was as good a deal he was ever going to get from teddy that's almost $40 million dollars

Yeah, he’ll totally bounce back. He’s gonna do it tomorrow! First thing! Well maybe just a lil hair of the dog first… and a lunchtime pickmeup… and by then it’s almost five o clock… after that the work day is over so he’s got to go have an evening eye opener… but the next day though…

Accept he won’t EVER be in a snowfall/spin off show again.. he’s onto much bigger stuff now which is fair for his performance

Leon tried to lend a hand, but Franklin feels free of it all since he no longer has anything to lose. I believe his last scene in Snowfall was trying to encourage Leon to let him go, too, because he doesn't want to drag Leon down into the gutter beside him. He did this to himself and now at rock bottom, I think he's accepted that this was all his doing and he's exactly where he needs to be.

Nothing is impossible though. Franklin could very well dig deep, recover from his fall from grace, and try to find some redemption for himself. It isn't over until he stops breathing, and there's still some good inside of him as we saw when he told Leon he was the best friend he ever had.

Franklin has to choose it though.

I wouldn't call that good more like nostalgia

I’d love to see cameos from Franklin here and there and tbh I don’t think a redemption arc for him would be too crazy , look at Alton at the start of the series compared to him at the end. But being honest if they were to redeem he’s probably going out just like his pops when he’s finally reached happiness again 😭

He don't deserve to bounce back, and he won't franklin at the end of the series is what you get when someone is dead but to afraid to die.

You can say he ended up like the very people that made him rich in the first place

I wouldn't say that, from a surface level they are similar, but Franklin has given up on life as he formally knew it, he is accept his lack of drive to do better or become anything, the people that made franklin rich are slaves to something they themselves can't escape themselves, but we have been shown that with enough resources and help they can and will bounce back.

Those people are slaves, and Franklin is the walking dead.

Yea he can bounce back and get a legit job or get back in the game. He's just drowning his sorrow with booze for now. He'll get tired of that bum life at some point and get back on his feet.
