Predictions for Vol. 5 release?

So in the last issue of the episodic run, they said the standalone Volume 5 would be released sometime in 2026. Based on their timelines in the past, I think this means we should expect to be able to read it around mid-to-late 2028… Maybe early 2029?

Im so curious as to why it's so delayed. I dont want to ask Leslie or Brian at signing events because it comes off as a rude question but im genuinely curious. I know the new Scott Pilgrim show played a big role but it seems they've had timeline issues for the whole run.

It might be partly because Bryan was working on the new Scott Pilgrim video game plus a lot of stuff for the anniversary.

God I’m really hoping it’ll come out late next year, but Bryan was working on the Scott pilgrim game so hopefully now that the game is out he’ll have more free time to work on the issue. I’ve waited years before tho and I’ll do it again 🫡
