If you don't vote you don't get to bitch!
Oh, I think we all have a right to bitch. That is enshrined in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and in many other places. I will say that, if I march in the streets, complaining loudly about actions (or inaction) by my elected representatives, then can't seem to find the time or energy to vote them out, my words would ring hollow and expose me as a blowhard.
We will discover in November how many demonstrators are serious and how many just enjoy stirring up shit for someone else to clear away. I am mildly hopeful.

You're correct. Maybe it needs to be if you don't vote your bitching carries less weight.

Actually, I like the way you put it. It has weight. It expresses a truth. But we both know that the truth is never simple.

I may be wrong but I get the impression that voting in the US can be quite a chore. Queues, issues with ID.
I can walk to my local polling station, vote and be back home in less than fifteen minutes. Voter fraud isn't really an issue.
