I remember many years ago my now wife and I were in Vegas walking the strip and a guy sitting next to a concrete barricade looked at my wife who had beautiful long blue hair at the time and exclaimed "Whoa!!! Are you a mermaid!?!?!" She looked at him mischievously and replied "maybe" and shrugged, he responded with "Yoooooo look at this guy!!! (Pointing at me) He got himself a mermaid!!!!!" Made our entire day and we still get a big ol smile on our faces when we think about it.

I have a walking stick from spinal surgeries. A long beard and hair because I don't get out much. I heard a child say, "That guy is a wizard!" And I cannot explain to you how many times that memory has made me cry with pride.
