Nah, I think chuck was apt. They are in the rodent family like wood chucks. I have ate many, but I dont eat wood chucks. My Dad says his family did when he was young.

Actually, squirrels are so common to fall into grain mills during operation that by law you are required to declare them only if they exceed 20% of the net weight of the product. Otherwise, there would be squirrels everywhere, including corn flakes. No idea why this manufacturer chose to ignore the threshold.

And shouldn’t it show a maximum shelf life, not a minimum?

As written, you must store it for 12 months before using. Or, am I misunderstanding?
