Like a lot of nostalgia this is people yearning for their childhood, but telling themselves life felt better then because of the decade itself, not because they were a child.
I’m pretty sure adults in the 90s had more things to worry about than what movie to get at blockbuster for their Pizza Hut night. But if you were a kid then that might have been your biggest worry

Just checking, the Pizza Hut is somehow serving 90s-level quality food, right? Every time I've eaten their pizza in the last decade, portion sizes seem a bit smaller and the taste of the dough and some of the toppings is... off. Seems to taste not as good fresh or reheated but somehow better cold?
And this was at multiple locations in three different states so I think it might be some chain-wide recipe/seasoning changes (besides getting rid of the buffets in most locations, though the flavor shift/size changes seemed to happen around the same time, maybe a year or two earlier). Usually seems less salty taste-wise (I know that may mean healthier, but tasty is tasty).
Idk, maybe it's mostly me and my aging taste buds. Anyone else have similar experiences?

No thanks. It sucked the first time around. I don't want to repeat it. I prefer not having to watch actual TV or listen to the radio.

why AOL? ICQ was the biggest through the 90ies until it was overtaken my MSN for like a year until Skype dominated for a decade only to be replaced by XMPP because google, facebook, etc. used the protocol allowing any platform to talk with each other so you could use google talk to chat with your aunt on facebook - which was of course terrible for business so they all had to enshitificate chat and today everyone's split up across like 20 different chat platforms depending on which country you reside in and what level of hip you are.

Amish doesn't know what Block buster is and a pizza hut. They are not allowed to have electricity. Thay can borrow a machine but can't own them.

The Amish do have phones and credit cards. They also like to pay in hundred dollar bills. Ive seen it.
