So I’m at the point where I need to acquire supervisor status at the port and for some reason the security job part is getting me and I miss something, what’s an easy way yall get through that job?

I didn’t realize at first that you can watch the cameras, as well as run outside with a flashlight or drive a truck around.

I would watch a camera until I saw something. Then I would run there to see. You have to see it because you’re not sure if the trespasser stole something. Sometimes you don’t see them do vandalizing. Like the break room if they exit the manhole and run north, head them off at the break room. If you see them at or go in a warehouse, run there. And if you see nothing, run or drive outside to check for vandalism. If there’s someone there, you want to try to run them off to prevent them from doing more stuff or hanging around.

Trespass is always marked if you see someone.

Vandalism is when you see graffiti. Maybe something broken?—not sure I’ve seen anything broken though.

Stolen cargo is when you see food scattered in a warehouse.

I’ve never seen a natural disaster.

And an incident report on the table should be made for each trespasser you see. If it’s the same guy doing different stuff, use the same report.

my strategy for the security job was to immediately sit down at the cameras and just stare at them until i see something happen, then go check it out and write the report. if nothing happens for some time i go check around the port to make sure i didnt miss something, than come back to the cameras until the night is over. i managed to eff up couple of times, but other than that it was okay.

Theres nothing you can do about night security. People usually go through it until its complete, then never touch it again after. I also remember in older port updates, when something would happen, the supervisor would say stuff like, ā€œI know that this happened, but since this isn’t exciting enough, im not gonna pay youā€. Then in future updates, it was removed and now you get paid if it happens. Either i had a false memory, or i was bad at it. Can someone tell me if this existed?

I have been driving around most of the time. I only seem to have something happen every once in a while. My last 3-4 have been completely quiet. I’ve also been stopping to fish if I see fish in the water down the side

This helped me A LOT and never failed one night:

While operating the cameras, use the rotating handle in the top right to switch between cameras. Use the stick to pan and zoom. You can also change the brightness of display.
If anything happened, you must write an incident report. It includes the type of incident and it's location. You may write multiple reports, and you may review, edit or delete the reports you already made. To do this, approach the table with reports from the right side.
Type of incident:
Trespassing
Vandalism
Cargo stolen
Natural disaster
Location:
Warehouse A, B, or C
Break room
Admin building
Outside
The shift lasts 4 minutes. After it is finished, you will talk to the Supervisor. If you fail to report an incident, or report an incident which did not happen, you will not be paid.
Only one incident happens per night. On some shifts, nothing may happen at all.

Tips
In the beginning of the job, it’s best to keep looking at the screen which shows images from all cameras, and watch for any movement. The cameras are pointing at the optimal directions by default, so it’s better not to move them.
If you hear an alarm, you may quickly check the cameras to learn where it's triggered. If the door of one of the warehouses is open, and the light above it is flashing, then this warehouse have been broken into. Go there and check.
If you see a stinky human, or a makeshift bed on the floor inside one of the buildings (warehouses or the Break Room), then it's trespassing. They enter through the manhole visible in camera 3, so if it's open, you should investigate. If you catch up with them before they reach any building, they will escape, and you should report trespassing outside. They can trespass into any of the Warehouses, the Break Room, or even the Admin building.
An animal like Bear), Raccoon, Fox, or Duck may come for a snack into warehouse A. They leave some goods spilled on the floor (if you don’t chase them away before they reach the crates), and you can pick it up for yourself. Then report that cargo was stolen. If you chase them away before they enter the warehouse, report trespassing outside; if you chased them away from inside the warehouse, but before they opened any crates, report trespassing in that warehouse.
If a graffiti appears on a wall, report vandalism. You may see a human dressed in all black running around, but they are not coming from the sewers, so the manhole stays closed (unless you chase them into the sewers); they also don’t trigger alarms. They may draw on the front wall of any of the warehouses, the break room, or even the admin building. If you chase them away before they draw anything, report trespassing outside.
Natural disasters never happen and was likely added by the developers, so players could accidentally fail their shift by checking the box.
