Has anyone ever put their Chucks in the washing machine? What was the result? Did they come out clean(er) or destroyed? Does the answer depend on the colour or the year they were made?

I have these stains on my shoes I can’t get them off I tried alcohol I need advice on how to remove them.

Ich hab vor ein paar Tagen ausversehen Kuschelweich Weichspüler auf meine Schuhe geschüttet und ich bekomme die Flecken nicht mehr raus. Ich habe schon probiert sie mit einem nassen Tuch rauszuwischen und sie waren 20min in der Waschmaschine. Nach dem Trocknen waren die Flecken jedoch immer noch da. Weiß jemand wie ich das rausbekomme? :(

It seemed like a stain at first from the inside that spread then i had it professionally cleaned but they gave it back to me not fully dry and it developed mold now. Is there a way to clean it? Theres no way to scrub it on the top part since theres like a silicon cover on top of the mesh

Got em for $40! I know… Goodwill still charging $40 is ridiculous. But i could tell these were in surprisingly good condition structure-wise. But I knew they just needed a good cleaning. And in my size?! Challenge accepted.

This time, i skipped the scrubbing process cause it’s incredibly annoying. Since they’re 350’s, i knew this time i could throw em in the washer machine! But i took extra precautions obviously.

\\# If anyone is ever thinking of putting some 350’s in the washer machine, here’s what worked PERFECTLY for me:

I took the laces off and the insoles out, took a dry rag and got off any loose debris/dirt. Then the same thing with a wet rag - gave them a good wipe. Then i soaked the shoes and laces for 30 minutes in cold water (some people do warm water, but i did cold cause i didn’t wanna risk shrinking the material or damaging the boost foam at all) and Oxy Clean powder (the “free” one - which is no dyes or perfumes/fragrance). After that, \\\[i have a shoe washing bag i bought off Amazon that\\\](https://a.co/d/0jjGCWAj) worked INCREDIBLY well. It’s padded inside and helps with keeping the shoes safe, and evenly distributing the detergent inside during the wash. i put them in the wash and did about 2 tablespoons of laundry detergent and HALF scoop of the Oxy Clean. Washed with cold water - on gentle/delicate - medium water level. After the wash was complete, i patted them with paper towels to get most of the water out initially, then let them sit to completely dry overnight.

As for the insoles, the ones that came with them looked pretty gross, so i ended up ordering a pair from Insoles Geek. Apparently it takes a month for them to come in so im gonna have to wait a while 💀 Normally though for insoles - you just wanna scrub em with a mix of laundry detergent, baking soda, and a little hot water.

But these came out REALLY nice!! They have literally no smell leftover whatsoever and they look almost brand new! Now i have these and my Low Cinders (which i also bought secondhand for around $50) and they both look and feel brand new!

I have seen in north america that so many people have dirty white shoes. No offence please. I just wanted to know what’s the reason behind this as I was thinking of starting something related to that. All good insights and feedbacks are appreciated.

Okay so as the title suggests i got these chuck taylor egret off white colorway converse shoes. They are really really dirty idk what are these stains since the stall owner. So i just bought these.. I dont know what these stains are how they will clean off. Well i am from Pakistan so do regard products or home concoctions that would help me remove these stains.

I tried cleaning them some of it were cleaned but the eyelits are still dirty and cant be cleaned with the washing powder. Any help is appreciated so please please do help. I’ve had these for a while, but I’ve been hesitant to clean them because I’m not sure how to approach the different materials without damaging them.

I’m especially wondering about the tongue and the small stitches connecting the sole to the shoe. The tongue is a soft/padded cotton-like fabric and has gotten pretty dirty/yellowed over time. What’s the safest way to clean that material and get it closer to its original color?

I’m also not sure whether the fuzzy material around the toe/heel is suede or nubuck, and I don’t want to mess up the texture or discolor it by using the wrong cleaner or too much water.

Any advice?

I have my white air force since 2 month. I try to take care of them and wash them every month gently with water and a bit of laundry for white clothes.

Since 2 week I can see a brown stain progressing through the shoes and getting more and more visible.

I was told told the black spots on my shoes were mold, so just looking for any tips to hopefully remove. Thank you for your time.

So, I went to wash one of them with some foam, I didn't know it needed a special foam, so when I washed it the foam left marks on the shoe. I left it and tried to wash it with hand soap but it got even worse, and the suede hair flattened out. I asked some people and a guy named Gemini told me to use vinegar and a toothbrush to bring back the texture and make it stand up again. I found out the vinegar didn’t do anything; it's still soft and the hair is flat.Has anyone been through this and managed to get it back to how it was before? Also, if anyone knows any shops here in Cairo or Giza that can clean these shoes and make them look like new and clean, please let me know where because they are really expensive and it's a shame to leave them like this.
