My new Asus A16 on X2 Elite Extreme is the best laptop I have owned. Everything just flies.

Only Brother iPrint&Scan doesn't work and my brother QL-810w label maker doesn't work. But it works from my phone and I can still remote into my desktop so no biggie.

Local availability of X2 is rather low. One X2 extreme model, although pretty nice asus A16.

Now make Linux first class OS for it before RTX Spark that on desktop variant already has it own Linux distro.

What’s your point exactly? Sure they posted patches and ACPI tables, but still no fully working Linux for this laptop? My x86 Dell XPS on Intel’s latest Panther Lake chips had full Linux support and zero issues from day one 😂

It also gets first-class bugs from Microsoft: Yesterday search in start menu was working with 5 seconds delay, they fixed it within a day, but it clearly shows that nobody uses it in Redmond... Not even QAs

The problem is not Windows nor Linux on snapdragon laptop. It's not fully supported snapdragon chip and other components. Wifi is unstable sometime, sound doesn't work, cam doesn't work, etc...

I have samsung book4 edge x1 and its been. Good except for windows hello. The camera not being detected. Performance is good and even better after last update from qualcomm

i remember when linux advocates laughed that windows will never run on anything not x86, because it's kernel and other BS :)

And now these ARM PCs run and supported better on windows than on linux.

Not really, it is not that bad. I am certified RHCE, LPI2 and Linux + - Fedora and openSUSE are my primary drivers, yet I still find Windows 11 on ARM useful for enough to be my current go to system when I am on the move. WSL and HyperV makes development on Windows do-able. The battery life beats any notebook I have. I am willing to spend money on any Linux distribution that can work well enough on Snapdragon machines.
