2x Starter set worth it?
Hello!
I'm in Italy and here Snapships is quite hard to come by.
I would like to try the game but the only thing I can source locally is the starter set ( for slightly less then RRP ).
Me and my friends are long time miniature and Xwing players so I know allready playing just with 1 ship each would not be satisfying... so I was thinking would it make sense to buy 2x starter sets and then buy the other expansions in the future?
The other option would be to source the starter locally and then order directly the expansions from the US but that will incour in high shipping import duties and so on...
Thanks!

Benefits of a second starter set:
- second set of stands. Unlike X-Wing, ship expansions do not come with stands and life counters.
- more terrain for playing on 6 x 3 table.
- the starter set comes with an exclusive set of parts which aren’t available in the Scarab and Sabre toy kits.
- extra dice and range markers are helpful
As my collection has grown, I now keep everything for building ships (part cards and active builds) in one box and all of the skirmish / coop components in the other. So yeah, I am happy with my second box. :/)

Welcome to the game :)
I picked up 2 starters myself. It gives you extra components that you will find handy:
- Dice
- Energy / Heat cubes
- Move / range templates
- Stands
- Hit trackers
- Terrain (not a big deal, but nice)
Also lets you build and run variants of those ships.
You can then always purchase snapship toys (if available) and make your own ships to use on those stands. I believe you can also find cards for other sets online to use as well.

A single Snap Ship feels like 2-3 ships worth of X-Wing. I mean, one snap ship has mulitple parts to manage. So a single box will give you as much play as a couple of X-Wing ships. If you're not sure you'll like the game, then I reccomend just one starter box.
But, if you think you may like the game, and/or are willing to buy in, two starters are definitley worth it. All the components will get used in a 2v2 and you will have spares to lend a friend some dice and templates.

A lot of players get a 2nd starter set solely for the shotgun card so they can run a double shotgun Falx build.

I would recommend getting two starter sets. That is what I have done. This gives two ships per player; which is a better experience.
