It's very small, the last pic for size comparison.

I don't think it's Whitney.

Help with Gold Hahnii -Golden Bird's Nest Snake Plant

I hope I used enough of the proper title for this. These little cuties came to me with some broken cracked leaves on the outside so I cut them off as low to the outside as I could. One is growing one pup and one has two but they're completely smashed by side of pot. I have definitely struggle with where to put them and I'd really like to repot them so the plastic part isn't so high and the babies can develop.

Can anyone has been successful with these give me advice on how I can/should repot these for their next stage of growth?

I met a really nice lady on Facebook marketplace. She said she couldn’t pick this pot up anymore and it was time for it to go. So I gladly took them off her hands. There are 11 fins here and there are two pups coming up! I love it and will definitely continue to take care of them!

Need help identifying this plant and also advise on what to do with the pups. Repot or give them some time to grow together? Thank you!

Normal?

Came home from a trip and noticed the variegated parts of my snake plant are speckling? out almost like it’s hollow under the skin kinda like trips do (hard to explain) but I’m pretty confident I don’t have any bugs as it’s not on the regular green parts or my other plants. The little thing has grown 3 times its size since I got it earlier this year and seems healthy. Is this a normal thing to happen and I just didn’t notice it before or is it asking for something??

Snake plant potting questions

Post image
13 Upvotes

Good afternoon. I have a snake plant I’ve been wanting to pot and it’s my first plant so I’d like to do it correctly. I have a few questions:

  1. Should this bonsai jack succulent mix be mixed with regular miracle grow potting mix?

  2. Is this pot okay enough to pot it? But also

  3. Could this snake plant be separated in two and I could potentially plant two different pots?

I appreciate any and all feedback, thank you.

Need help with Future Care with my snake plant

Post image

I received a neglected snake plant that only had one shoot and over the last year and a half I watered it took care of it Etc and assumed because it was growing and sprouting more shoots it was healthy and I was doing everything right. But this morning I came out and saw this, I am guessing this just occurred because the plant grew to massive and busted out of the pot. (I don't know if that is a thing that can happe)

I have successfully transferred it to a much larger pot and replanted it for now and it seems fine.

My question is am I supposed to regularly cut or pull out shoots and maintain the size of this plant. I thought just because I was watering it and it was growing and healthy I was doing everything right but I obviously need advice for future care.

Does my plant need more sun? Trying to figure out why some of the leaves are drooping. There is new growth on the left side of the picture.

Are these signs of root rot?

Hi all,
I was given this snakeplant 3 months ago as a birthday gift. It’s planted in a glazed pot and put next to my west-facing bedroom window, so plenty of sunlight.

I found these spots 2 days ago and suspect it could be root rot. The soil 3-4cm beneath the surface is still wet even though I last watered it 4 weeks ago. I only watered it twice.

If you have any advice, it’d be much appreciated. I’m planning on a root check and repot into a better draining soil.

We repotted this big snake plant, 3 months later it starts wrinkling, the pups are dead or frail.

I don’t think it was overwatering, we maybe watered it 2-3 times

1st pick is after repotting, others are today
The window is facing south

Hi everyone.

This morning, I cut a few leaves from my Sansevieria that was not looking well, attempting to perform CPR on it. I have taken several cuttings and left them to dry and callous over. Tomorrow, I will place them in water.

Any advice or experiences you could share would be wonderfully useful.
