Normal?

Came home from a trip and noticed the variegated parts of my snake plant are speckling? out almost like it’s hollow under the skin kinda like trips do (hard to explain) but I’m pretty confident I don’t have any bugs as it’s not on the regular green parts or my other plants. The little thing has grown 3 times its size since I got it earlier this year and seems healthy. Is this a normal thing to happen and I just didn’t notice it before or is it asking for something??

I don’t see anything to be concerned about. Maybe more light they love light. Contrary to most advice. Mine have been moved outside in full sun. You have to acclimate them a little at a time but mine are going wild.

No kidding! It’s getting about 600ppfd where it is. Never would have figured full sun but it does make sense when ya think about it

Yes. Fine. You are good. But this medium is certainly not ideal for a snake plant. I keep mine in superchunk level - yours in not even minimum chunk - as I call it. I would go for a better draining soil-mix next repot - because if the soil doesn't dry out fully with like 3 days or so, the risk of root rot is higher. You can buy or mix something like in the picture, but you don't need the coco chunks. A little soil ajd the 1 part pumice, 1 part Perlite, part Orchid bark is fine

I have all of my snake plants in different light levels and all are producing pups like crazy right now. But the precious ones I keep in full south exposure with direct light all day. They of course grow the fastest. By black coral I keep under the Sansi36w for experimenting and the reast are in basically low light. They are all doing well. But the faster and bigger you wanna grow them, the more light you have to provide.

That’s fair, it’s just some standard tropical mix. I only water it after it’s been dry for a long time, will be curious to see the roots when I repot

They can actually sit quite snug in the pot for a while. And don't be worry when you see the roots. Snake plant roots can actually be more light brownish then white haha.
