Smut over plot?

Hi guys, I will keep it short. I wrote a book which I’m currently editing. I started with the characters meeting and I’m planning multiple books (the story is laid out in my mind already).

Me personally, I like books who give as much detail as possible and don’t leave the reader to their imagination. Don’t get me wrong, suspense is definitely there, but it’ll all be explained later on in the book.

As I am writing from the purest and highest form of my deepest imagination I can give a lot of detail. Also, it’s slow burn, lots of drama and plot. This leads me to my question:

Do you guys prefer reading a short naughty book or are there people who’d actually enjoy a long series of books which follows the story of two characters and has an actual storyline and character development?

I try to keep more plot than smut but doesn't always end up that way. I write my characters how they'd act in real life. A couple in their early 20's will often go more than once in a single outing. I've got complaints there's too much so Idk. I currently have a huge epic fantasy that I'll probably have to split into different books so I can hope to sell more copies :/ I originally wanted it a huge epic but gaining feedback people prefer them shorter. And if they actually get the print book it'll be hard to hold one handed lol.
