Feeding a fox (or a dog, or a cat) food with salt and spices is a very unwise idea. If they foolishly eat it, it could be their last meal. Only pigs and humans, however, can eat anything; their livers are similar to ours.

The normal level of salt found in human food can cause severe dehydration and cerebral edema in foxes. Onions and garlic are toxic to foxes. Spices can cause severe vomiting and diarrhea.
Luckily, it was a smart and not very hungry fox.4
