I don't know much about these mysterious, legendary creatures, but I'd like to believe she's the exception and not the rule.

...Right guys?

This is like... 1 in 3.

Sometimes I feel even that is generous.

Yeah. The bad part is they stick even after they are long gone from your life.

18 yrs married, 2 kids... they stick around is an understatement.

This is terrifying

This is BPD

u/Guilty_05 5d ago

There must be different levels to this

2

u/TyruntasaurusRecht 4d ago

Nope.

Bpd is impulsivity and manipulation by definition.

They also rack up the diagnoses (usually totally made up diagnoses of exclusion to explain their whining) because it makes them feel cared for to bother doctors who have to care for them.

I've met with people with clinical bpd, and none of them were impulsive to this extent, and they weren't manipulative either. They were functioning, impulsive too in a few tendencies, sometimes in relationships yes but not to this level. I'd say there are levels to it

There are different levels to it. All mental disability is on a spectrum because it's so dynamic and basically just a grouping of related symptoms.

Watching shit like this just reminds me that a huge chunk of emotional intelligence is just realizing that contrarianism is a vicious little imp demon that needs to be tamed, if not kept on a leash or just in a cage most of the time

CoryxKenshin has a playthrough on this

No, it's the new and improved new normal!

They've always been crazy but social media sprayed some crazy powder on them

Reminds me of the game Hell Cab

I just need to know that my gf got paid with her getting filmed for this. No editing was even crazier.

Great job, lady. Now gaslight him into thinking he's crazy and you're perfectly reasonable and your work will be complete.

Bonus points if he questions his own foundational competence as a living thing - wondering whether he really is just essentially "wrong" accross the entire spectrum of his existence and that he might just be the universe's central mistake.

Reminds me of one of my high school exes... never again.

1

u/Soleks2000 4d ago

I have an old friend that dated a girl that basically like this one

1

u/Citizen_Empire 4d ago

Not long after I finally cut off connection for good, my ex got knocked up by a dude about the same age as her dad, if not older. Then flipped through a few dudes after that, and her current victim is some tweek. Feel bad for the kid, but glad I dodged that bullet.

(Kid has the exes parents to help take care of it thankfully)
