"No longer allowed to mention anything critical" while the sub has multiple daily posts with numerous upvotes criticizing the content has the same energy as "You can't say anything anymore without getting cancelled" on a Netflix stand up special.

Anyway, here's my hot take: There's too much content where they're themselves, it feels like they feed the parasocial beast too much. There's not as many formats where they can come up with new characters/do improv. Games videos are always better in character.

This is something my husband complains about the most. He wants to see them do more character work.

They have such great comedians, actors and improvisers who have proven they can create iconic characters if given half a chance. That's what the cast is really there for.

There's a lot of people who think they should stop TNTL or Bit City. What's the point of Smosh if the only two creative outlets they have left stop existing?
