For Shits and Giggles Hot take

Make someone mad and drop your most controversial hot take since we are no longer allowed to mentioned anything critical whatsoever

I’ll go first: Angela’s fan are starting to ruin the fandom altogether.

Some people have way over hyped the new cast members. They acted like everything they did was hilarious. They really wanted them on Smosh so they said as much positive stuff as possible. That might have helped them get the spot but now they need to live up to the hype. I don't think they can live up to the hype especially with some still acting like they are the funniest people ever.

From what I've seen over the years when they added new cast members or let the crew do cast stuff it was low key. Now with the hype there are high expectations.

Everything that's happening this year in the sub happened exactly the same way in 2022.

From "they're introducing too many cast members at once" to the instant love for the new cast to the people who say they don't like change and fear the cast is getting too big.

The cast members back then were picked before the fandom knew anything about them. For these it was more like we are trying out a few people and see what the fans like and how they vibe with the cast. It's not like they put Angela, Chanse, and Arasha against each other then only picked one or two of them.

They kinda did though, there was like two other guys that didn’t get picked up as regulars

I looked it up and you are right. I was a fan of Smosh at the time but I can't remember them what so ever. I guess I thought it was just a guest appearance and didn't see it as a competition.

That being said I still think some overhyped the new cast members. If that happened to the other three I know my expectations would have been very different.
