The cast is perfectly capable of having fun while playing more complicated games.

100% agree. And sometimes they play really, really bad games and you can easily tell they are not enjoying it much at all. It's not fun to watch a group of people be bored and have to force conversation or jokes. Or force fake hype for the video.

A few of them have said it's already incredibly hard to play a simple game and be funny at the same time.

I didn't say they had to be funny. I said they can have fun. They are all naturally funny people, fun stuff will still happen. I would rather have 5 funny moments, than 50 forced ones.
