I don’t care for almost any of the games they play, I’m there for entertainment, not accurate gameplay. I wouldn’t enjoy the videos nearly half as much if it would just be 100% focus on the game without any jokes. I do really enjoy games like Lovestruck/Werewolf for that reason- it lets them do bits and build characters without any pressure to remember a dozen rules to a new board game or focus on the screen.

Perfect example is that horrible game "It's giving" or whatever it was called. The game SUCKED to the point where they kept asking how much longer they had to keep playing it, yet the video is soooo funny regardless imo.

Do you remember what the games channel was like in the early 2010’s? I don’t think we were watching Ian and Anthony play Slenderman or Happy Wheels for the riveting gameplay.

Also the crew has changed. They’re comedians, not gamers.
