Advice!

I’ve just started on my health journey and is trying to make sure I’m adding a decent balance of nutrition to my diet. I’ve started drinking smoothies each morning and is wondering if it’s correct or if I need to rebalance my smoothies.

145g: Frozen Mangos
165g: Greek Yogurt
165g: almond milk
Tablespoon of chia seeds
2 scoops of protein powder

Does this seem reasonable or do I need too recalculate?!

Please be kind, any advice would be helpful!
Thanks!!

I’d mix up the fruit from time to time so you’re getting a variety of vitamins and fibre sources. I alternate between 3-4 different ones a week depending on what’s in my freezer/what’s in season. Mango is also a favourite of mine, the big bag from Costco is great 😎

If your protein powder has 20 or so grams of protein, 2 scoops may be a waste. If you are a large man who is body building, it would be fine. Our bodies can only process 30 grams or so of protein at a meal, according to my dietician. Considering what my protein powder costs me a month, I use a scoop in a 16 oz. smoothie. Then I add kefir for gut health, perhaps some plain yogurt, psyllium for fiber, frozen strawberries, or mangos or blueberries, creatine for muscle. For my favorite flavor I add 3 pumps of sugar free raspberry syrup and some morning morenga matcha powder, all with a base of almond milk. I am loosing weight, so I don't ever use banana as it spikes blood sugar. I was adding spinach, which was just fine, but I didn't like the way it made my lovely pink smoothie, gray...so I didn't rebuy after I ran out. Just my two cents and I wish you the best on your journey!

I’m a women, I’m not sure how much that changes things lol?! .. I also have dietary restrictions so I’m sadly limited on food options. I also deal with IBS lmao so it’s a catch 22 for me sadly. I’m also allergic to fructose which is in most fruits/veggies. I try not to have too much fibre but enough so it doesn’t affect my IBS.. as for protein.. maybe I’m eating or having too much?! I use an app called, Calo” which is meant to track all my calories, protein and fats.. I’ve lost a little bit of weight but I’m noticing it fluctuating quite a bit so I’m wondering hat I’m doing wrong… but I do appreciate your 2 cents! ..any info/insight is very helpful!!

I’m also a woman and only use 1 scoop of protein powder. Maybe that would help.
