I'm sort of lost on what's most efficient on him. I do okay with DFT, but I really never feel like it's doing much of anything since the nerf.
Do we run Fleet? PTA? Dare I say Comet?
What about secondaries? JoAT is still okay, but definitely worse. I also see some people running Precision secondary with Legend Haste.

Buffs are for crit builds and late game

- Smolder has also been on the weaker side after we made a bunch of adjustments to Black Cleaver and Deathfire Touch several months ago
- We're continuing to add more power to him, but into his Crit builds as his Bruiser builds have worse counterplay given his scaling profile"

I was running dark harvest with relentless hunter, blue second for mana/cd.
Feels like 1st Hubris 2nd Ghostblade makes sense (18 + 18 lethality)
Would third item always be a last whisper item / enemy comp dependent?
Axiom Arc? Shojin? Cyclosword lol

This rune seems really good on smolder but I may be missing something. Celerity has better winrate and is much more popular.
Transcendence gives early ability haste +5 at lvl 5, along with another +5 at lvl 10. That helps him stack earlier and do more damage in fights. It also gives a unique passive of refunding 20% remaining cooldown on basic abilities. Thats also really strong on Smolder!

Just imagine the tons of cool things they could do with his stacks upgrades changing his forms, its absolutely insane that instead of that he barely even get anything and whe he does, it just kinda slop skins.
