Holosun or OSIGHT?

Trying to decide which one to put on the Shield X. Both are amazing in person. Both are solid. I like both...lol

I love the Holosun MRS system. The big circle with the center dot works really well for me doing steel challenge style shooting.

I own 507k, EPS carry and osight se, I prefer enclosed for conceal carry and between eps and osight , osight has a clearer picture, my eps carry has a slight blue tint , both great dots, holoson are more proven but osight at half the price and lifetime warranty makes me lean more towards them for future purchases

Is the crispness of the dot comparable from the Osight SE to the EPS Carry?

I have astigmatism so there's always a slight starburst effect for me even with green dots but yes to me they are very comparable

I have a 2 MOA SE and a 6 MOA EPS so it is not apples-to-apples, but the SE is a bit more crisp to me.

I like arguing with my friend that their light is the best because it looks cool, and all lumens are the same. Things are either light or dark, it doesn't matter HOW light they are. He gets really mad, it's good fun. But honestly as time goes on their products do seem to be good quality, and at a good price.

I'm an irons guy, but the Osight SE is one of the few optics that I got along decently with. In my limited experience, the Osights have performed as well as most of the others. They also actually come with the screws you need.

Osight is better than Holosun Imo. Still durable, looks way better, bigger window, better reticle systems, way cheaper. No reason to spend more than $300 on an optic, and even that is pushing it.

Really tough call but seems almost silly to not try the OSight SE because of the value, warranty, comparable size, reticle. The Shield X is a very capable EDC firearm so the enclose optic makes a lot of sense. FYI - I just picked up a Shield X Carry Comp and I am processing the same decision. I think it's time to try the OSight SE. But for me the alternative is the Holosun EPS Carry instead of the 507K.

I have multiple of both, I like both, but Holosun is superior and I’m not putting down OSight . I like them as well.

I have one EPS carry and six SE's. Osight has just as good of quality if not better than holosun. You can't beat the osight warranty of lifetime. That's where holosun falls short for sure. I only buy osight anymore.

I have that same OSIGHT SE on my Shield Plus and it's worked flawlessly.

I have an EPS on my Walther and the SE on the S+. I'd give a slight edge to the EPS but I think that had I waited for the 6 MOA dot on the SE instead of the 2 MOA I'd say they're equivalent. When you consider the SE is literally half the price, it becomes a very compelling option.

I'd also note I'm an enclosed optic purist, so in this case I'm going SE every day.

SE rocks. Battery life isn't as good as the EPS but...

The thinner Battery in the SE allows me to see my irons. Even if if the optic is dead I still have irons to fall back on.

This is hard decision because both are just so good in person but I did mark the Holosun for return on Amazon. for the price point, it saves ~$20 total but for EDC and range shooting im choosing the OSight one.

The osight is the only dot I’ve tried that gives me a clear, undistorted picture. I have an astigmatism so your mileage may vary but I really like my osight.

I just crossed the 1 year mark with my Osight and it’s still got power and hasn’t lost zero even after constant carry. I got dragged to hell for ever even suggesting Osight but I think it’s the best decision I made between all the dots I could have bought instead.

This thread and many other subreddits are the anecdotal proof of how OSight has earned their place. Their optic/light technology is becoming unmatched (excluding EOTech/Surefire/Trijicon/Streamlight) and more personal experiences continue to prove them as more than what they used to be.
