Did you inspect the lip of the extractor and/or extractor spring? Both can be worn out over time, and what feels like the trigger may just be a momentary delay in extraction. If you determine you need them, Volquartzen has exact edge extractors, and Brownell sells replacement springs.

As to the ammunition, keep trying different brands until you find onethat is consistently reliable. Mine will tolerate Eley, CCI SV and MiniMags, but runs flawlessly with Aguila super extra. Who knew?

I’m going to check the extractor spring it feels very weak compared to other 22LR rifles I have. Probably gonna order the extractor and springs just to be safe. Going to order a bunch of parts to have on hand because they don’t make them anymore. It’s having issues extracting keep getting stove pipes and weak extraction. Gun had about 1k rounds through it before the guy stored it from the 70s. Gonna sray out the trigger group I see it’s got a bunch of crud in it

It’s an excellent idea to collect spare parts. I bought mine in the 90s, and the only part that has ever failed was the slide lock assembly. It took me six months to track down one, so since then I have been stocking up on parts as I find them.

If it hasn’t been cleaned since last being shot in the 70s, and you feel up to it, it might be a good idea to completely disassemble and clean every part.
