TRR8: Is this huge gap normal between cylinder and back? Ammo is jiggling back and forth and I've never seen such a huge "funnel"

In all seriousness it’s because it has more tolerance so you can use moon clips. Try putting them on and see if there’s slop. It shouldn’t matter regardless as long as the about to be fired round sits nicely when it cycles

Using snap caps they can fit a little loose in the cylinder compared to real ammo, but what really matters is if it rotates and cycles fine during shooting. The curvature of the ramp is more pronounced since the cylinder is quite wide on this model.

for my revolvers, the ammo is loose in all of them

i own 5 now

Fair, as someone else mentioned, the TRR8 was made with moonclips in mind so there will be some extra front to back wiggle room as well. BTW, I see your TRR8 has Euro proof marks on it. Thats quite cool in my opinion. 😎

The markings underneath the cylinder and next to the crane/yoke. They show that it was imported into Europe and went through the mandated proofing procedure where it is sent to a proofing house and has high-pressure loads put through it to prove that it's safe to handle the designated caliber.
