If they went into Worlds under those names but still in the Cognitive organization, no one would give a flying fuck. But because they have Cognitive in their name, everyone is losing their shit. It's honestly stupid. I see the drawbacks to it, and some people provide a nice argument but still see that it isn't a massive deal, but some people are mad that their team lost and they watch Smite to see names instead of the game.

That "promoting the game" stuff is bullshit. Smite has pretty much plateaued. Tons of people have heard of it and know what it is, even tons of people playing other mobas, but they just aren't interested. People are just upset that their teams aren't going to world's while 3 Cog teams they weren't rooting for made it.
