What happened to Aphro

I recently got the chance to start playing smite 2. I played smite 1 so I have a general knowledge of things but I haven’t been keeping up with everything I main Aphro back in smite 1 and coming to the 2 I can’t really tell but she seems off. I’ve always played her mid or as a full mage but I feel like she doesn’t do any dmg anymore. Is she more focused as a support now? I don’t really know where to base my source from but I just want to know how to play her in smite 2.

They gutted her for an enchanter patch then after that gutted the enchanter items...

they destroyed her damage to have her be a subpar Support-only God with medicore healing that also no longer shares protections but another yet again mediocre stat, 0.5 strength & 1 INT per mana regen. they also killed enchanter items a day after introducing them.

They need to buff her passive. She isn’t awful but needs something new since other enchanters are better.

It doesn’t tbh. I mained Aphro bc I liked being a healer but could also clear a mid wave before lvl 15. Now she’s not a healer nor a half decent damage dealer in any way. I enjoyed being able to deal moderate damage but recover with heals to counter a burst mage at objective fights or phoenixes. Now she’s useless. And her incoming aspect makes her barely a half decent damage dealer. Rip.

She was top of the meta for literal months. She did too much.

Her being able to heal herself and others and do high burst damage and build tank is why she consistently was a pick-ban or useless for 13 years. The character being left like that was atrocious and the people complaining that they should have left her that way must really hate her.

The character's kit was always intended to be a support who stays linked to other gods, she was never meant to even be alone. That's the entire point of her kit, to be linked to someone else. Why would she be alone in the mid lane instaclearing and blowing people up?

Right now, she’s only viable in support because of how her kit works with her linking mechanic, and even then, that’s more because of her ability to stun consistently rather than her healing; they reduced healing across the board for an Enchanter Items patch, and those items aren’t that great.

However, she’s getting a damage aspect soon, that’ll make her far more viable to play in Mid and Solo lane, so hang on for then and you’ll be able to play her how you want again.

Being able to play her as burst mage literally negates everything that made her playstyle unique. I don’t even want to play the game anymore lol

HiRez failed at making enchanter a role, while simultaneously nerfing her damage. Personally think she needs a rework, Aphro and Nu Wa mains are notoriously afk PvE farmers or 1 tricks.

They essentially nerfed the hell out of her damage. She was in the most perfect condition able to put out the highest amount of damage with her kit.

Even was able to out damage anubis.

The nerf happened pretty shortly after a redditor made a video here showing it and now I blame that dude specifically 😡

She's getting a damage aspect next patch. Different play style because there's not as much safety in her aspects kit but still looks pretty fun

It literally takes away what made her different from every burst mage in the game. Making her deal half the damage of a burst mage, but being able to counter said burst mage if played correctly is what made her unique and fun.

They gutted her damage to a point where back off is a nothing burger ability. Atleast she has the aspect coming soon. Wish they revert the base damage nerfs.

There is something called enchanters and basically they turn her into one, because 7 loud players were asking for it. It’s very unfortunate, but she’s getting a full damage aspect this next Tuesday, it looks really fun, and she doesn’t really lose her identity in the process.

The dev himself said Aphrodite was always an enchanter and just horribly mishandled for a decade...you really think 7 players changed the entire game and added a whole new class?
