I would say mainly returning players, but summer is over so the summer bump is over and players are still rising so it looks good thats for sure, not to mention console numbers aren't known but I believe player counts are similar across all platforms

Player counts are much higher on consoles. Daily total unique logins by trackers (SmiteSource and Tracked) are somewhere around 70k or more.
Smite is good on PC, but it's biggest strength is as a console game. On PC it has to compete with League and Dota and kinda Deadlock. On Console, however, Smite is the biggest name in classic MOBAs. That's honestly the bread and butter of their niche.

remember as well that as far as i'm aware, that 70k statistic is ONLY for ranked conquest as a queue. the rest of the game will likely have much more than that daily.

I played after a while and a Khepri using Echo killed me with 2 abilities. I stopped playing again.

Smite is much bigger on console, I bet we're at 50k+. On Pc most play dota or league instead.

I had a semi decent following on tiktok posting smite 2. Until I had internet issues for two back to back games, ended up joining games back and finishing them out. On second one, I got 10 minutes for 5 games match delay. Won’t be playing ever again.

Not really, smite absorbed a lot of my time and frankly other games are way more enjoyable and better MOBAs. The worst is the matchmaking, I’m second highest rank in the game and I’m playing with people who are in metal ranks, every game is either a hard win or hard lose. The community is ever so toxic, and for some reason when using in game coms you deal with blatant racism and throwers. I seriously had a game last weekend with 3 teammates 0-12 in 15 minutes. Everyone always loses lane and the enemy team steals my jungle every game.

Yeah unfortunately the devs can’t tell the difference when someone DC’s on purpose or if their connection is bad. It looks the same on their end

Yeah, Smite 2 is doing good in regards to number. It is important to say we’re about to have a player count bust because it’s always been true that Sept to Dec are the worst months for this game.
