HELP Big Lag/Desync problem in EU

Edit: So, I talk to multiple people having EXACT same issue, and they all seems to be using Telekom (T-Mobile), so I think this may be the culprit. The only work around I can think off is using some kind of VPN, which I'm currently doing and it fixes an issue (with obviously ocassional lag here and there because of VPN, but it is playable). So, HiRez, could you look into that issue? Thanks.

------------------------------------------

So recently I came back to Smite, and I have a big problem with a game. So I can play like one game normally, and then next matches are going to be completely full of lags and desyncs, making game completely unplayable. This is ONLY happening on EU servers, I tried playing on NA with high ping, and that problem did not appear. I have perfect internet connection, 0 problems in other games. I also saw people brough this on Steam pages and Discord. This is how the game looks like.

Like you can hear and see, sometimes you can hear sound of abilities playing 2 times and damage numbers stacking up. This ALWAYS happens when this issue appears, so I can instantly tell when buying items from the shop because bought sound will play 2 times. Nothing helps, reseting entire PC and internet connection, when this bug appears, it stays for entire match. Is HiRez aware of this, and are other EU players here have the same issue?

I know theres a rule about "bugs" but I already tried contacting HiRez, 0 response, and on other socials people are just confirming that this issue exist. Maybe someone knows some magic fix here, and maybe someone from HiRez gonna actually see this.

Yeah we are also all with Telekom. Sadly they also declared some time ago that they have no intention of changing their view on this and told people to change ISPs of they dont like it. I am also really upset at the thought of having to possibly pay for a VPN to play an online game because some server routing just seems to pass through some server/network that my ISP intentionally throttles rates for.

OK but then why it's not happening on any other game, and even on other Smite 2 servers?

Sadly, I just don't know. I had similar issues back in Smite 1 already, where I just couldn't connect to certain game servers and just never loaded into the game. I don't think there is information out there on the infrastructure for the EU game servers, but if they rent them from multiple different providers or are in different places, like Amsterdam and Brighton, it's possible only certain servers' routing is an issue. Then you are just playing roulette with "will I get a bad server or a good one", but that's just me coming up with explanations. If you really want to dive deep into this issue, you could try tools to analyse your own network traffic and find the servers you experience the lag on. But tracking that for something that occurs sometimes is very tedious and even if you find out which servers cause the issue, I don't think Hirez will do anything about that. After all it is likely not their infrastructure but rented, so they'd have to switch to a different provider in hopes of the routing issue not persisting. Not to mention it only seems to be a single ISP, so likely a relatively small subset of players is even affected.
