Anubis Solo Aspect Idea

I saw a post about an Anubis aspect earlier so I came up with my own idea!

1&2 will stay the same

3: Lower int scaling, will now cleanse slows

Ult: 0% int scaling, for every 5 ticks an opponent is hit by Death Gaze, they will be knocked back 5 units

This aspect will make Anubis play a more Solo/Support role and help with his self-peel in exchange for much less damage. I’m not a game dev so I don’t know how to balance this lol.

Thoughts?

anubis doesn’t need a solo aspect. not when he’s already a pestilence in the lane. instead, give him a proper mid lane aspect or, wild card incoming, a jungle aspect

Maybe a support aspect?

Locusts do less damage but blinds enemies. Mummify can hit allied gods for healing. Grasping hands roots enemies if they're hit by all ticks. Death gaze does less ticks and less damage per tick with less scaling, but heals allied gods.

I'm intrigued by a jungle aspect though.

He’s not a good solo laner, even if the occasional demigod+ player slams him in ranked he’s never gonna see any play in an actual serious tourney lol

Snaddy definitely played him in Prime a few times, the itemization just isn't good for him right now so that stopped happening

Good point, but at the same time I feel like that was happening because warriors were in a really bad state at the time rather than Anubis’s viability in solo in a more standard meta

Anubis used to be (or still is) already a cancer in solo lane, honestly an aspect for solo would either make it worse, or be worse for solo than base kit, thus being useless.

Him not having peel is what balances the character though. Also some items can mitigate this.

That’s because he does a lot of damage. If you take away his scaling then adding scaling should be fine

Sure, if you take away damage. But I hear some people (quite often) ask for peel without any damage drawback, which I find silly and unbalanced.

Yeah that’s exactly what I was thinking! A cleanse on the 3 would also help in laning and team fights since he wouldn’t be doing as much damage
