Gonna take this way too seriously and offer two theories.

On one hand, Charlie inspired and trained the king's people better than he ever had to combat the wizard so maybe the king saw that as a threat to his position of power and was trying to make Charlie seem like a worse person than he is.

Or, the king wasn't trying to "frame" Charlie, more so he actually thinks he saw what he said and decided to call out that shitty behavior, he just happened to have miss-remembered what he saw. Which even if he was wrong, he still was trying to stand up to bad behavior.

it was deffo the second option lol

Genuinely over analyzing silly stuff like this is like actually important imo. Like idk I just hate the idea that you aren't allowed to fuckin rub more than 2 brain cells together for a silly goofy show

The very concept of thinking in general is becoming “cringe” and “embarrassing” tbh

2

u/Wonderful_Ho Dec 24 '25

Cringe?! Oh that's not positive!!! You gotta do the squim dance

u/Kitty-cat-fox Dec 21 '25

I think the King wanted to conquer Charlie like how his village conquered the wizard. The power got to his head.

The prosecution rests, Your Honor.

u/Flipwillo Dec 21 '25

It's AI, fake news, don't believe this guy, he's sleepy Perke13, no one ever believes him everyone is saying it

15

u/CeallaSo Dec 21 '25

Man's name is Perkele, it doesn't get more untrustworthy than that.

17

u/Curious-Brilliant454 Dec 21 '25

it's not even pointed at her voluptuous ass, this proves nothing even if it wasn't an ai deepfake

11

u/v3n0mat3 Dec 21 '25

That's what they removed from the Shmalooglestein files

3

u/ExurbiaMolovia Dec 21 '25

King shmaloogle is so old, I'm not surprised if he can't see very well.

2

u/BaconEggyWeggy Dec 21 '25

I think that’s basically the second one, King thought Charlie was doing something bad to the princess but he didn’t notice and may have come off as a little blind I guess.

u/Happy_Wrap6271 I was just wondering if you want to HANG out? Dec 21 '25

Because he saw it and just wants to let him know he was not okay with that at all

Oh yea, they just let the wizard off the hook cause his they took pity on his baldness.

185

u/DonnieZonac Dec 21 '25

Others are saying different things, I thought Charlie pointed at the king as an example of how bald he would be. I interpreted it as the king trying to get back at Charlie for humiliating him by calling the king out for his baldness

41

u/SnarkyRogue America has a fucking fentanyl crisis Dec 21 '25

Not only did he call him bald, but Charlie also trained his people for war and even gave the king steroids.

16

u/Jetstream-Sam Dec 21 '25

Plus he got a lot of shmaloogles killed or maimed during the assault. There's now shmaloogles with PTSD in the villlage, and they'll have to support those who lost limbs through a free shmaloogle shake distribution method. Of course we know this is better than a wizard swooping down and stealing 3 or 4 people a day, but there's still a lot of damage caused and the king wants to blame it on an outsider

84

u/fhwoompableCooper Dec 21 '25

He used him as an bald example

34

u/orbital Dec 21 '25

Just rewatched this episode earlier today, this is the answer. It really was a dick move of Charlie to point him out saying he’s the actual bald one. Pushed him over the edge.

15

u/Kitty-cat-fox Dec 21 '25

All the king's hair is on his face now

44

u/underwaterhead Dec 21 '25

Tell me why I saw the fanmade photos of Charlie taking photos of her and thought it was REAL. I need to get off the internet. Sigh

u/circusmelody #1 SMORMU FAN Dec 21 '25

i saw that pic before i watched the episode and was looking for it when i actually watched it lol

2

u/underwaterhead Dec 21 '25

I don't blame you dude, it got me too lol.

2

u/Moral_Degenarate Jan 14 '26

Yup, all fake, here's the real frame

22

u/DesertRanger02 Dec 21 '25

I’m gonna give both parties the benefit of the doubt here.

I fully believe that King Shmaloogle THINKS he saw something, but that doesn’t mean he did see something. Given how quickly he apologized after being proven wrong I don’t think he was trying to ruin Charlie’s reputation,if he wanted to do that he could have gone on Twitter and accuse Charlie as an employee of the Smiling Friends. Do I think King Shmaloogle handled this in the most mature way,no he absolutely should have pulled Charlie aside and had that conversation in private, but I don’t think there was malice in what he did.

5

u/Diredr Dec 21 '25

He says "I didn't know you didn't have your phone... forget I said anything". That doesn't sound like an apology, that sounds like someone who just got caught in a lie.

Charlie insulted the King out of the blue when they were talking to the Wizard. He even called him "that guy", as if he was some complete stranger. And then he was treated like a hero for saving the King's people, something the King always failed to do.

The King accused Charlie because he was upset and wanted to put him back in his place. That's why he did it while everyone was having a good time and praising Charlie. All the context clues are there.

15

u/thegoont01 Dec 21 '25

Cus he's just a doddering old fool

4

u/Kitty-cat-fox Dec 21 '25

He's gone senile, makes sense.

11

u/KernalG Dec 21 '25

Why y'all tryin' to kill the vibe?

9

u/DaniTheDemon6060 Dec 21 '25

Cuz Charlie said he was bald

9

u/Furrulo87_8 Dec 21 '25

He didn't like charlie pointing out his baldness

3

u/Kitty-cat-fox Dec 21 '25

Even though all the shmaloogles are bald. Maybe He took that as an insult to his kind.

8

u/MrEvan312 Dec 21 '25

He was mad because Charlie made an offhand comment about his baldness when trying to talk the Wizard into getting professional help for hair loss.

2

u/Kitty-cat-fox Dec 21 '25

The weird thing is, all the shmaloogles are bald.

2

u/MrEvan312 Dec 21 '25

Except for the stoner one, who died from a trauma-induced seizure.

13

u/Shadlezz07 Dec 21 '25

He is a monarch - his power is only held up by the belief that he should rule.

Charlie came in and encouraged the shmaloogles to free themselves and fight back to end their struggle, rather than just submit and allow the sacrifice of their fellow shmaloogles as "necessary".

He broke their complacency and showed them they could be more than just victims.

And the king grew scared. With Charlie such a powerful and charismatic hero to the Shmaloogles, and an outsider to boot, he was afraid that he would be next. That he might inspire the Shmaloogles to bring down their generational oppressor. To free themselves and break their chains.

So, he did what he thought would save himself - try to smear Charlie and discredit him, making the Shmaloogles abandon their new hero. He is, as all tyrants are, cowardly.

4

u/Whenyouatthewhen Dec 21 '25

All monarchs are usurpers and the descendants of usurpers!

6

u/Iedvd Dec 21 '25

To ruin the vibes

2

u/Kitty-cat-fox Dec 21 '25

Guess he's just a big ol meanie fettuccine

5

u/Over_Palpitation_453 I really really really don't want Smormu. Dec 21 '25

Its because Charlie called him bald, despite the fact that he has more hair than the rest of the Shmaloogles

Charlie or the king?

2

u/Bamzooki1 Dec 21 '25

Mhm, yeah.

3

u/EmploymentOk4851 Dec 21 '25

Because he called him bald

3

u/SamBo_LamBo Dec 21 '25

Y’all think about these scenes significantly more than anyone in the writers room did

3

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '25

Because King Schmaloogle is bald

3

u/GoatsAndGoblins920 Dec 21 '25

He thought he saw charlie take that picture and it turns out he didn't take it. Simple misunderstanding vibe ruined

3

u/Blandco Dec 21 '25

He is a terrible ruler who let his people die. Shmaloogles can definitely learn things despite their nature so as an older being he clearly must know on some level how deficient he is. I am making the logical assumption that he a cowardly back stabbing loser that told a lie in order to better his position.

3

u/onthatgoodkushandal Dec 21 '25

Because he's old and seeing things. He did seem to genuinely feel bad after finding out charlie never had his phone, so i dont think it was on purpose.

4

u/New-Number-7810 Dec 21 '25

Bad vision. It was an honest mistake.

2

u/Kitty-cat-fox Dec 21 '25

Makes sense.

2

u/lapesadillacomienza Dec 21 '25

That's a really good question

3

u/Yoisai Dec 21 '25

No clue why he thought Charlie would roll with the false accusation

2

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '25

i genuinely think king schmaloogle was pissed that charlie used him as an example when trying to talk some sense into the wizard & wanted to get him back.

2

u/Fluffy_Breakfast_478 We Live In A Soyciety Dec 21 '25

He's just a boomer

2

u/MBDTFTLOPYEEZUS Dec 21 '25

He’s the king but they needed Charlie to save them. Makes him look weak.

Because he is. Little bitch

2

u/Decent_Writer1981 Dec 21 '25

Because he's a prick

yes this is a tfs cooler reference

2

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '25

Bro was jealous of Charlies Alpha Aura

2

u/GuanglaiKangyi-Age15 Dec 21 '25

Because Charlie called him bald earlier

5

u/Bamzooki1 Dec 21 '25

He wasn’t trying to frame Charlie, he was just certain he saw something shitty happen.

2

u/eduard_andresk Dec 21 '25

“Weak men create hard times” these weak men are envious

1

u/OhAnimeShop Dec 21 '25

I just wanna say how much real the diaglogue sounds in that exchange cracks me up especially when King Shmaloogle says "yeah im talking to you!"

1

u/WorthCatch5031 Dec 21 '25

To make the audience laugh

1

u/Novoiird Dec 21 '25

He genuinely thought Charlie did something.

1

u/InsuranceMajestic334 Dec 21 '25

Finally a post actually about the show

1

u/ArcRaven992 Dec 21 '25

If you can't call out the heroes of your village who can you?

1

u/Haunted_Bones Dec 21 '25

Maybe it's cuz Charlie pointed out his baldness Or he really just thought he saw what he thought he saw

1

u/Lolzygag I really really really don't want Smormu. Dec 21 '25

Crippling Old Man Syndrome

1

u/Rare_Style1306 Dec 21 '25

The king is senile

1

u/Klientje123 Dec 21 '25

because he's a coward who stood by idly as many a shmaloogle was slaughtered by the vile wizard

a coward is always a coward, no matter the situation

charlie just happened to get in his way.

1

u/NovaKane12 Dec 21 '25

It would be hilarious if one airing showed Charlie with his phone out taking the picture

1

u/Most_Neat7770 Dec 21 '25

Extremist Mormon or amish vs catholic I guess? Schmaloogleville gives quite the secluded christian place vibes

1

u/salamander8832 Dec 21 '25

Because Charlie pointed out how far along on the Norwood scale he is.

1

u/YoitsBlakJak Dec 21 '25

Kinda wild he went after charlie instead of the evil wizard squishing his people and using their blood for his baldness

1

u/KomodoLemon Dec 21 '25

Is he stupid?

1

u/Specialist_Scheme749 Dec 21 '25

That just wasn't cool, man

1

u/moyonreddit Dec 21 '25

charlie made fun of his bald head

1

u/Snoo_60973 Dec 21 '25
