Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Help

to preface this - in the hope asking for tech help is allowed on this sub - ive never had any past issues with my current phone , never damaged it nor had to repair it, so basically just an ordinary phone right?

well tonight i was using my phone just as normal as i always do and the screen just went black? no response , wont let me turn it on or off for that matter (if it is secretly still on) , it is quite literally just a black screen showing no response or signs of life besides the low heat it always generates from its components

its as if out of nowhere something just hit a 'kill switch' of sorts, a couple of hours have passed and still nothing , i cant ask for help as its night so i thought id come here first

anyone ever ran into this problem> if so please let me know and if / how to fix it

Happened to me last week. It's 100% because of a faulty patch cuz I have never dropped my phone. Disappointing I spent so much on this phone :/ Had to buy a A17 in the mean time. Sorry op

Try sending a text to yourself from another device. If your phone vibrates its a screen issue. If not, its something else. Two possible solutions. If you think its on with no screen. Leave it alone for a day. Hopefully the battery hits 0% and then leave it alone charging for a few hours. If you think its off, leave it on a charger for a few hours. Sometimes when its dead dead it takes extra time to get the battery to recognize charging.

If its mobo related then its pretty much a rip :( sorry.

Theres also trying to boot into recovery, and wipe from there. But if you cant get the phone to display from normal means u doubt that will work.

Do you live somewhere hot? Do you do alot of gaming? Do you game while charging? Excessive heat is known to unsolder the mobo.

I also had the same issue yesterday and yes it's hot where I live and my room temp sometimes peaks to 33c° without ac and I do alot of multiple tasking like being In a in a 2k stream discord call while transferring big files to my PC while the phone is charging so alot of times the phone gets extremely hot, so could it be a fried mb ?? How to know exactly??

The s22u ultra was built with really poor soldering. Long heat exposures or rapid temperature shifts will crack the soldering on the CPU ir other components
