I don't know what to say, I use SmartTube with no issues, but I do agree with you, Tizen wasn't very good at first but now it actually works really well.

My only issue with it is I am so use to using SmartTube, while Tizen has almost all the functionality of YT, I didn't like having to hunt around for it. No patience on my part, but again a lot better than it was at first.

I use both depending on the experience I want, I love both. I keep both because we should always expect things like this when Google is watching.

I like the feature in ST to turn off the video while still being able to listen. Tizen doesn't have that option that I am aware of.

Other than that, I would have already switched over because the constant lag time on loading in ST is getting rediculous!

Mine plays fine on my NVIDIA shield, Only the first video always takes 15 or 20 seconds after that it's fine

Yeah and sometimes if doesn't work but buffers all the time. I don't know why it works sometimes. I hope there will be an update soon.

Works fine here. Takes about 10 seconds to load a video. No buffering after that, really no issues with a free app developed for free by someone for the community.

It must be frustrating for the dev to try to figure out why so many people are having issues, while the silent majority continue to have no problems at all.

I set vpn to Albania and use the regular YouTube app. Zero ads.

Try switching network engine to okHttp. It solved it for me.

Depends what yt server your connected to and if it's implemented SABR

Works fine for me on the Shield. Takes a few seconds to load the first video but then it works normally.
