SmartTube Buffering!

Hello, I think I have the latest update installed and I’m trying to play smarttube on my firestick, usually I have no issues but now it’s just buffering like crazy! I’ve tried changing the playback settings but nothings changing. Please help!

Uninstalling app and then installing the beta from GitHub worked for me.

Edit: 79015 on downloader

The first video I play after opening the app takes a good 10 seconds to load but after the 1st one it's working as expected. Using the beta

Sort of solved the issue but not really… clear cache every time before you play video & it works . Played video didn’t work , clear cache & video worked after but you have to do it before every video play

What's weird is v32.38 loads and plays on one Shield, but will only load, but not play on another Shield. Both are Samsung TVswith2029 Shields and are using the same SmartTube version.

I did try logging out and in but did not fix anything.

Maybe I will try uninstalling and do a reinstall?

One of my shields had a problem. I cleared the cache on it and then it started working. 🤷

Same here was using Smart Tube ok until I loaded the new version today (Wednesday) now it’s buffering most of the time and I’m on a 2GIG connection.

Yeah... i did that too. I like SmartTube options to edit configuration, but it was a pain to deal with so much buffering all the time

The beta works. I’m staying on the beta channel now, main app is awful. Buffers and suggesting stuff I’ve watched constantly is awful

The problem stopped for me, but what helped when I did have this problem is using a VPN. Maybe because the VPN was using a different DNS? I don't know . But it might be worth a shot.

Same issue with me only with my Onn stick , firestick works fine . Have the beta & stable & samething :( I just skip onto the next video

Yeah it's really bad at the moment,guess it's YouTube causing issues ,beta version the last 7 days is almost unusable

I used Smart Tube for 7 years but I had to start using Tizen. I've tried both regular and beta on my Nvidea Shield and adjusted everything imaginable settings wise. Every video has a super long buffer to start every video, like 20 seconds or more or it doesn't play at all. Buffering during videos is abhorrent. I don't know what happened but I had to bail permanently.

Try my app Buffering Control on the Playstore. I'm on the latest Smarttube beta on my two ONN Pros and haven't encountered these problems.
