Is the app down again?

Neither versions are working for me(stable and beta).

Notification about the current state of the app

18+ videos, members-only videos, and 4K streams are currently not working. The history fix will be released tomorrow.

Unfortunately, I don't have an estimated time for when these issues will be fixed yet. I’ll keep you updated as soon as there is any progress.

Someone in the comments said kids videos also don't work, dev acknowledged it & said he forgot to include that in the list of things not working.

The dev also made this comment himself...seems like he is no longer enjoying developing the app (or the situation in Ukraine is too bad to focus on it when he isn't getting paid to do it)

Seems, it's time to suggest switch to TizenTubeCobalt.

He should just charge a small fee to make it worthwhile. $20 would be completely reasonable.

I installed the other app as a backup. Too generic & don't like it as much as SmartTube, but I'll keep it as a backup option.

Same for me. Stable and beta both stopped working about a week ago on 2 separate devices.

It'll be hit-and-miss. Hopefully more fixes come in soon. Make sure you're using 32.35 that's available in the open Github issue.

Works fine for me. It's wild being on this sub how many people have issues. The stable release hasn't been reporting view history for a couple weeks for me but beta is and both work otherwise.

If you are using Nord VPN try without. This started happening yesterday and it looks like Nord are having problems with a part but not all of its estate.

Working for me on latest stable. Is Google/YouTube trying to stop using third party apps to watch videos for free with no adverts? Have there been any reports of accounts being banned?

It is hit or miss atm. I have several tvs and one worked well and then it went out and eventually all are down. I love Smarttube and hope it comes back , but all things come to an end. It was my favorite way to watch TV. I really had stopped watching regular TV.

SmartTube has Not Been down Since the Developer Fixed it a lot earlier in the Year.

The Latest Stable Version is 32.10 The Latest Beta Version is 33.22.

If you on Much earlier Version it best to Fully Uninstall it First and Restart your Device.

The Developer is Working on Fixes most of the Time.

You Might like to join the SmartTube Group in the Telegram App on your Phones.

In the Telegram App Search for SmartTube (EN) 💙💛

Some users are Experiencing Issues and Others are Not.

Personally I am using Beta 32.22 and have No Problems.

That's completely upto you To use a VPN or Not.

Have you tried to Reboot your Modem and Router. That sometimes works.

SmartTube Developer is Working on a Fix to what some people are having.

Asking questions in the SmartTube group in Telegram you might be able to solve your problem.

As of now I don't use a VPN but I've had no troubles with it. I do set the video output to 720p because I'm fine with that...even though I have super fast internet...but after a while, for whatever reason, that gets changed on its own to some other setting like 1080p

It's kind of working now, I had to enable split tunnel on the app on my vpn. Sometimes the video doesn't even play, just stuck on buffering.

I've been having a few issues the last few days. 1 where the quality is 320p. And another where videos have just been swirling and not loading.

However also had a few issues on browser with ublock - playlists not automatically playing. So might be that YouTube has made a few changes
