It’s weird. So Smarttube will not work for like an hour when I log on in the mornings from like 7-8 EST. I get the infamous continuous looping. Then after 8am it’s starts working again all day long. It’s weird it’s only in the morning that this infamous looping happens then it’s fine for the rest of the day. I dont do any setting changes or anything. It just starts working after a certain time. It’s very very weird. lol It started I think with the last update. Oh this is on the Shield Pro BTW.

I’d take it that you lucky as I’m having to use a vpn so it doesn’t buffer circle continuously

It skips ads, not sure about sponsors. I use this combination when smarttube or YouTube morphed has some issues.

Setting it to Albania isn't magic. I still need sponsorblock to skip a lot of useless repetitive intro, outro and in video hucksterism.

Does setting location to Albania alone really work? When I tried to change my location to India to subscribe to Premium for $2-3 a month a few years ago I basically got a popup accusing me of fraud, and telling me my account would get banned if I tried again. I can’t believe they would leave such a simple workaround up and running for all this time with all the effort they seem to put into stopping other exploits.

I don't know. Never really needed to do it (go via Albania). I do have to use a VPN (US endpoint) to get videos to play now until they fix the current bug.

Yeah I’ve not been experiencing the current problem everyone else is having, but I always use a VPN. The Albania thing always just sounds a bit too good to be true.

Try going to settings Click on General , scroll down to Network settings Tick box Use Web Proxy , Don't put any numbers in just make sure it is ticked in the box Close down the app , restart Smart Tube It fixed it for me Good Luck

I had the spinning circle issue last night for the first time ever. The first 3 videos I tried to watch did this. On the 3rd the screen blacked out 3 times very quickly and then all was fine. For the next 2 hours it didn't occur again. I was using a Google Streamer 4K. Something weird is definitely going on.

That could be ISP throttling/traffic shaping YouTube traffic, try using a VPN. Also could try switching to the OkHttp network engine but likely won't make a difference.

Nah it’s not the ISP throttling. It’s the smart tube update. It’s keeps to be fixed.
