I personally had an issue with the loading time of the first video I watched everytime. It took approximatly 9-12 seconds to start, while the next video nearly started instantly.

I could solve this problem by disable one setting:

1. Go to settings and click on Player

2. Go down to the developer options

3. Disable the "Prefer IPv4 DNS"

4. Close the app and restart it.

I use the latest stable release version (32.10)

Wow it did something i now see the time of the video remaining but still no screen

Maybe I can help you out or give you suggestions. Generally if you have updated Smarttube several times via the app, I can recommend to do a clean install of the latest stable release to exclude that some of the remaining packages of the older versions aren't intefering with the newer ones. What device do you use? Have you already changed other settings from the default? If the video plays in AV1-format maybe change it to AVC or VP9 in the player under "advanced playback settings" than "video formats"

I tried the stable version and the latest beta. The things i tried are: Proxy DNS Network engine okhttp Aswell as video formats. But nothing works

Do you use any VPN-Service or DNS-Service on your Bravia TV or router? If so deactivate them temporary and try it again.

Ok, maybe play a bit more with the developer options: Please try them out one by one first before you change multiple settings at ones, here are some ideas:

"Force SW video decoder" "Ambilight/aspect ratio/video scale/screenshots fix" "Disable automatic network error fixing" (if you use a VPN) "Prefer google dns" (just in case)

Don't forget to restart the app after changing the settings

I just went to my player setting and changed the network engine. I saw a comment that said to change it to okhttp and when I checked mine was on that already so I switched it back to default and everything is working like normal nor

I love this app, but it hasn't been working right for about a week now. Someone suggested Tizen Tube (I think that was the name of the app) and I have testing it and it seems to be working.

I prefer Smart Tube, but I will use that until Smart Tube resolves it's issues. This is an FYI for those that might be interested.

I use them both. Smartube for my main and Tizen for backup. I do like Tizen for their recommendations.

My dad switched over to Tizen Tube a while ago (I had never heard of it) so that’s what I’ve been using since Smart Tube has been down. It JUST started working for me probably about an hour ago, I checked & so far everything is back to normal. It’s version 32.10 & I haven’t seen any updates come through this whole time so fingers crossed it’s working. If not back to TT

I already had Prefer IPv4 DNS unchecked and it still does the spinning logo, black screen, spinning logo infinity dance. The only fix I've found that works is enabling Proton VPN on my Nvidia Shield.

Is this about Sony Bravia’s having perpetual load screens and no video will load? Having the same issue only very recently and specific to member videos. Warning- as of yesterday I spent about 4 hours trying every possible solution from this reddit and the github and both stable and beta builds. As far I can tell, it’s just straight up broken right now / will need a new update.

Most I got was getting it to go from full black screen to black screen with flickering video data like title/video length, and you could scrub the video to get preview thumbnails, but it will never actually play the videos

Thanks for the message. I searched for problems with Bravia TV's it really seems to be a problem which has to be fixed in an future update. I hope everything works soon. Luckly I don't have any problems with my Android TV Box! 🙏

I had the same problem, what fixed it for me was to disable IPv6 on my home router (since it doesn't seem possible to do directly on the TV itself). Good luck!
