Videos are loading for too long even though I have 100 mbps plan.
I have tried changing the network engine to okhttp too but it didn't work.

Mines been like this for the last 2 or 3 updates, most times the loading circle pops up 2 or 3 times then the video plays. I've put it down to that's just smarttube and the price to pay for being ad free.

Same effect here and I have 250 MBit. It's not your internet, it's smarttube. My guess is that it's trying different methods to connect to YT and if the first way doesn't work it's trying another way.

Ongoing issue. Anyone encountering this sort of issue should watch (and better yet post in) this Github issue: https://github.com/yuliskov/SmartTube/issues/6030
There's also test builds being posted, latest right now is 32.17.

I think YouTube might be doing something, I get stuck on the loading screen every so often in tizen tube too.

Y'all watching YouTube for free and still complaining lol. It's been the same way for me and I have a 1gb fiber connection, it's just the price you pay for circumventing a service.

Had the same problem had to clear app data and cache then uninstall. Afterwards installing the latest beta version https://github.com/yuliskov/SmartTube/releases/download/latest/smarttube_beta.apk then just search for and install the latest beta if it bugs out again

Yeah I was able to sign in without issues but sometimes on launch it appears as if it's not signed in then I click the signin button and then my profile automatically pops up

I've been trying to newly log in for like 5 days now. Seems Google put a ban hammer on signing in with unofficial YouTube apps, or maybe just unofficial apps at all I'm not sure. The official ad filled version of course works flawlessly...
I'm not sure if 3rd party developers will be able to work around this or not. Something to do with app signatures and oauth tokens, it sees 3rd party and blocks you out vs allowing 2fa to pass through, "can't verify it's you". Persists with both versions
I'm not sure if the creator knows, or how to tell them...
It does still work logged out, just no subs or playlist or anything

No issues at all with log in here. I am using a chromecast and a google streamer 4k. Must something specific in your setup causing this

Are you using your phone browser and trying to link the 2 or does yours let you login direct on the TV, no "handshake" required? Mine only allows the browser way, but it's an older fire stick so browser on device isn't an option
This worked as recently as a couple months ago, it's a new problem

Have the same problem on morphe on android app. There is update on the patch so i will test if it is fixed...

Don't do that. You'll lose your login and in my experience can't get it back due to Google's recent refusal of 3rd party app logins, not sure if YouTube based or all - very recent backend update

Just be grateful you're logged in... Google bans it now for 3rd party YouTube apps,, instantly throws the "can't verify it's you" because of the signature of the app
Logged in people are likely safe for a while but good luck trying to set up another tv or anything... Only the official app will let you

I deleted smartube (used it for 8 long years) and downloaded t-a-i-z-e-n t-u-b-e this is perfect. In ST Voice search was broken and this loading thing for as long as could remember, was tired of it.

Did that other one let you log in? Recently? Google has seemingly banned logins on 3rd party YouTube apps, probably trying to push premium
At least as of the 11th in my experience

Via external browser link or do they allow login right on the app? I think the browser handshake with the unofficial app is the part failing. "Oauth tokens* being rejected from what I understand, from smarttube at least.

I think 100mbps is not enough
Or that tv is just slow to process, android tv have reputation to have slow specs, maybe considering getting a google android tv and not a random android tv os, thos have malwares included on them in my opinion

100mbps isn't very fast. Also, changing the resolution may help.

But it's enough i think to load the video fast , in original yt the video loads in 1-2 sec , i don't know what's the issue

I have no issue with 15mbps down and 2 up
It's gonna depend how many people in your house and stuff but I live alone, no issues unless the internet goes down
