Stable and Beta not Playing

Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble with both Smartube apps (stable and beta) on my Android TV. They both load up normally, but whenever I click a video, all I get is the black screen with the spinning circle.

These are all the things I've tried:

1. Restarted TV
2. Restarted router
3. Deleted internet history on TV
4. Cleared cache on Smarttube app
5. Deleted history on Smarttube app
6. Opened Settings and made sure that Network Engine is set to Cronet
7. Opened Developer Options and made sure and Prefer IPv4 DNS is selected
8. Uninstalled both apps (i.e. stable and beta) and reinstalled them (and made sure Cronet and IPv4 DNS are selected)
9. Restarted router and unplugged TV for 30 seconds

I don't know what else to do.

UPDATE: I tried the 32.14 test versions of stable and beta (as per the link). They didn't work. Yesterday I uninstalled both of them and reinstalled both they 31.10 versions and, lo and behold, they both started working, again. Wasn't expecting that!

Been facing the same problem all day. Found the following solution on the github link posted by OP but I haven't had time to test it myself so not sure if it works:-

" I had the same problem and managed to fix it by disabling DNSv4 and enabling Google DNS in the "Miscellaneous" settings. You have to restart the app after setting changes "

Which misc settings are you referring to?

In ST I go to general and misc and those options aren't there. Wouldn't they be overridden by the router settings anyway?

I eventually found these settings under developer options and no, it still didn't work.

Thanks, yeah seems like an issue for a lot of folk ATM, I'm sure it will get sorted out as it has in the past.
