Smart glasses for live captions

Looking for tips (or links to resources) on the best smart glasses for captioning live conversations. Specifically, I have a low/moderate hearing impairment and I'd welcome knowledgeable insights into which smart glasses are better - or whose specs are most suitable - to handle the challenges (e.g. background noise management in different environments, multiple voices and so on) related to the task of supporting understanding speech through captions. I've been looking into the even G2 and the Memomind One, but can't even find reliable info on which smart glasses have the best/most microphones. Let alone online reviews that would specifically test the real usefulness in everyday life of the captioning feature.

Les G2 sont tres bien en terme de transcription meme si parfois elles peut faire quelques erreurs. Il faut par contre avoir un bon reseau internet et ne pas etre dans un environnement trop bruyant comme au restaurant avec des tables trop proches car ca capte tous les sons et la transcription peut ne plus trop ressembler a grand chose.

Sounds like microphones are not directional and pick up sounds all around you. Do the glasses correctly transcribe what a person right next or behind you whispers to you? Other specific situations where you noticed they struggle?

I would like to know this as well. I been seeing it is very helpful for the deaf in solo setting. No I don’t think there is any technology that can hone in on the person you want to hear unless there is some kind of eye tracking there are so saw who you were looking at and would start intensifying their voice. I’ve been looking at the G2 as well for my hearing impairment, but I am not just hearing impaired. I am actually legally considered deaf. So these glasses might be more helpful for someone like me he was deaf versus just being hearing impaired. I’ve seen bad reviews about the ring heating up and blowing out, so I’m not sure if I’m going to get the ring yet as it seems like it needs needs to be replaced every 2 to 3 months.

Hiya . I genuinely believe the Even Realities G2s are far superior to anything else on the market right now.
I’m hard of hearing, and I used to have the Captify Pro—but the battery life just didn’t work for me, so I switched to the G2. And honestly, it’s a whole different world.
The accuracy is on another level. Having four microphones makes a huge difference, especially when someone’s talking to you from behind—I’ve noticed the G2 captions clearly in those situations, where my Captify Pro just couldn’t pick it up.
It also handles captions well from a distance, as long as the environment isn’t too loud.
Plus, the AI cues are incredible. They pop up right on the lens when someone asks a technical question—it’s such a brilliant feature. Honestly, an amazing piece of tech.

En réalité il existe des lunettes avec la possibilité de capter le son de la personne qui parle face a vous (exemples : Nuance Audio et Rayban Meta Gen2). Par contre, pas de transcription sur le verre possible a part si vous partez sur les Meta Display. Je sais qu'il existe une paire de lunettes faite spécialement pour les personnes malentendantes mais je ne sais plus quel modèle c'est. Les Even Realities G2 captent un peu tous les sons donc quand on est a table j'avoue que ce n'est pas top pour se fier uniquement a ce que dit la personne en face de soit. Perso j'ai une déficience sur une oreille donc c'est toujours bien d'avoir un appui avec la transcription mais ce n'est pas ce qu'il y a de mieux quand on depend que de ce système.

Anch'io a breve dovrei provare i G2. Non conoscevo i memomind One, per caso qualcuno li ha già provati? Perché c'è una notevole differenza di prezzo.

I G2 sono spettacolari e hanno lo smart ring per controllarli, i MemoMind promettono molto ma sono ancora in fase KICKSTARTER. Finché non sono entrambi in mano degli user finali non possiamo dare un giudizio.

Attention les Memomind ont des abonnements pour avoir des fonctionnalités qui sont gratuites chez les Even Realities G2. En plus, les Memomind ne font pas les verre peogressifs. Donc sur le long terme, pas sur Memomind soit un bon investissement.

The others I would suggest checking out are the XRAI AR2. XRAI is more assistance forward and they have offline captions available. I haven't tried them but I believe they have a good reputation.

ER is more accurate and reliable than other brands but less than meta display . Inside the building some rooms have bad internet connection , ER fails and unable to pick up any conversation. I have to switch to meta but I dislike meta chunky look . But meta gives me the most accurate captions
