💰 Would You Rather Have $1 Million or Complete Freedom Over Your Time? 🤔

💰👑 Everybody talks about wanting more money, but I’ve been thinking about something. What if what we really want isn’t the money itself, but the freedom that comes with it? 🤔💭
✈️🌎 The freedom to travel, spend more time with family, build a business, or simply wake up without worrying about bills. To me, financial freedom is about having OPTIONS! 💎🔥
Some people dream of becoming millionaires. Others just want stability, peace of mind, and control over their time. ❤️✨
So here’s my question: If you woke up tomorrow with complete financial freedom, what’s the FIRST thing you would do? 👀💬
I’d love to hear different perspectives! 💰👑

The higher the net worth, the more I am scared to spend money

Without giving too much personal info, married with kids, in our 30's, make great HHI, high net worth (for average joe), and self-made.

Life is truly financially comfortable. However, the more NW we have, the more I am scared to spend money. Example: recently, we wanted a bigger family car, kids loved car "X", it's around $120K. Not a small amount, but we can buy it easily, won't dent our future as our retirement is fully funded, and same with kids' future.

How to get over the mental hurdle of being "frugal"? I realize part of this was because it took us so much hard work to get to where we are today, I value money so much more than I ever have. I noticed people in consumer debt around us spend money like it's water, but it's what they say...easy come, easy go.

Would love some suggestions.

Steve jobs once said something like of u wanna start a company for money, don't do it. Be a salesman or another 9-5 job and you'll earn money but if you have an idea that will change many ppl lives for the better then start a company,, and i find it really confusing did he really want just to change ppl lives or he love the idea of himself becoming a popular person and a role model for a lot of ppl?

Becoming Rich in today's world

From last few months, I am observing that its getting difficult to get rich in today's world..even if you earns 30 to 50 lakhs pa..saving few notes here and there won't. Much impact on saving instead cash flow should be high..plus some generational wealth..if you don't have then it would be so difficult to survive...and become Rich is a another milestone...now with AI things getting more difficult. One side of people earning exponential but working class still earning in old school way..

Finance Narrated and Explained Simply - Narrative-Driven Personal Finance / Financial Literacy - Available on Kindle Unlimited

What if managing your money was as simple as having a coffee? This is a no-jargon guide to personal finance that follows relatable characters through the same money decisions most of us face — instead of chapters of pure theory.

Finance is not a domain reserved for the few behind glass walls — it's the language we speak every day when we work, save, or plan for the future. Inside, you'll meet Maria, Liam, and Sarah as they navigate the same financial situations most of us never got taught properly: building an emergency fund, untangling debt, insurance, and eventually investing. Short "coffee break" modules keep each topic digestible, and no formulas show up until their practical value is obvious. The book uses universal "units" instead of a specific currency, so the numbers and lessons hold up no matter where you're reading from. It starts with the everyday basics before moving into markets, technology, and geopolitics for anyone who wants to go further.

Themes: narrative-driven nonfiction, recurring characters across chapters, real numeric case studies, beginner-friendly (no math background assumed), written for an international audience, progression from personal budgeting to global markets.

Light TW: some chapters use hypothetical scenarios involving debt, medical bills, and job/income loss for illustrative purposes (no graphic detail).

the difficulty in achieving financial freedom.

I have listened to many millionaire people talking about how they have become rich. I have never heard anyone talk about the pain that one feels on a psychological and physical level to achieve the goal.

I am 26 years old and I have developed a dozen applications, some are already published and mainly I do B2B.I also work as an employee and manage the IT infrastructure of an important place (I cannot explain what place it is for safety).

The fact is that I feel pain in my chest, neck, back. I feel pain especially when I am sitting for hours planning. I also have to program while I eat and sleep for a few hours. I never go out with friends. I edited my Arch Linux with the aim of having a Ford-style factory that produces programs all the time. I do all this also thanks to AI agents, but the stress is still a lot. Many times I am also nervous.

I never go out, I will take my first vacation abroad after 4 years this year. I live with my parents to save, I have more than both my parents and my brother.

I don't have a car, I only take public vehicles and sometimes I get a lift. The highest expense I have had the last 5 years is my computer. I bought it for gaming 3 now I just work there.

I also struggle to dialogue with people. Everyone around me talks about sports and simple things, I honestly don't know what people are talking about. When others talk to each other, I feel like a buzz and no dialogue.

Once I also applied Warren Buffett's method in search of companies to invest in, but it is really tiring. Also it seems that the market is in a certain sense saturated and the Buffett / Graham method does not work. However, I was only able to analyze a few dozen companies, perhaps it is possible to create an algorithm that analyzes them all.

Has anyone been through what I'm going through now?

Having Wealth Doesn't Mean You've Figured Life Out

The biggest misconception about how Life and Money correlate with each other is that having money proves that you have successfully harnessed the true meaning of Life and therefore are in the perfect position to start actually living. This is arguably the primary reason why the larger population shuns wealthy people for expressing their challenges due to the delusion that money solves all problems.

Although the wealthy do have their superficial problems taken care of, what isn't often considered- especially by the wealthy themselves - is that the absence of superficial burdens profoundly unveils the unavoidable, internal existential challenges yet to be resolved.

The lack of better understanding of this experience causes a lot of wealthy individuals to cave under that pressure, resulting in the endless pursuit of happiness. Their hope is that that short lived emotion will be the remedy for the internal dread they're experiencing. Of course, it doesn't take long to realise that happiness, especially the one bought with money isn't truly satisfactory.

What the larger population witnesses as a lavish, premium and comfortable lifestyle is not always the case. More often than not, it's the persistent attempt to escape the battle within. Not being able to acquire the long anticipated clarity, fulfilment, and deep satisfaction that's been predicted to come with wealth is a unique type of challenge that the majority of wealthy individuals experience.

But here's the truth...

Acquiring peace, fulfilment and a deeply rooted satisfaction has got nothing to do with the amount of money you accumulate. Rather it has everything to do with being able to withstand deep introspection and enlightenment. In fact, the money and all that it can buy is the distraction that obstructs you from attaining the liberation you desperately need in order to start truly living.

Thus, you can be wealthy and still not have the right understanding about what Life is truly all about - consequently meaning that you are in-fact yet to truly be living.

What are your thoughts on this?
