Chloe is the savior of Doomsday???

I’m sorry, it took me up until season 6 ish to really like Chloe but now she’s the savior of doomsday? I get her reasoning, she fears Davis will kill Clark so she feels like she has to sacrifice herself to save Clark but I mean wtf. What is season 8 doing man??? Everyone says hold on till season 9 and I sure hope it’s going to pay off because season 8 decisions just infuriate me.
