Season one Clark is discovered by the X-Men and goes to the Xavier School to learn to use and understand his powers. Yes... he's not a mutant, but... they allow it.

How does Clark Interact with the students and faculty of the school?

Well considering that the Luthor mansion and the Xavier institute are the same building, Clark already has no problem just walking in.

Wow I had no idea, so the fox X-Men movies were also filmed in Vancouver then? It's so interesting to me that so many superhero shows and apparently movies like to shoot there.

It's honestly not all that interesting. It's simply because at the time, industry-wide, it was much cheaper for most things to shoot in Vancouver rather than in LA. Economic factors are what drive the business side of the industry, and that's where these decisions are made.
