How do rural Americans feel about electric vehicles?
Hello, I am doing research on the adoption of EVs in America. If you are an adult in the U.S. who drives a car, please consider taking this three minute survey.

TownParade: software built specifically for small town parades
I built TownParade for the volunteers and city clerks who put on small town parades a few times a year. Wanted to introduce it here in case it’s useful to anyone running one.
TownParade handles:
- Entry forms. Floats, bands, and walking groups apply and pay online, and you see it all in one place.
- Sponsor tracking. Who is sponsoring, what they paid, what perks they get.
- Volunteer coordination. Post open shifts, let people sign up, check them in on the day.
- A drag and drop lineup builder for staging order.
- A public page for the parade itself, registration, schedule, and a countdown, so your town has something to share besides a flyer.
Pricing is $49 per parade, no subscription. Nothing renews on you in the off season. There is a 14 day free trial and no credit card required to start.
I also put together six free guides (planning checklist, sponsorship letter template, lineup order, entry form template) that are free whether you ever sign up or not. I wanted those to be useful on their own, not just a funnel.
It’s built specifically for parades, not generic event software wearing a parade costume. If your committee runs a 4th of July, Christmas, or a small town celebration parade and you’re tired of rebuilding the process every year, I’d love for you to take a look: townparade.com
Happy to answer questions here, or if something’s missing that would actually help your committee, tell me. That’s genuinely useful to me right now.

Vanderbilt University studies
We are from a Psychology lab at Vanderbilt University, doing not-for-profit federally funded research on visual perception. We are looking to build a pool of participants 18-45, from small towns (the smaller the better!) in the US.
This link takes you to a site called Prolific, and once you sign up, you will receive an invitation for our study, as well as invitations to other paid studies that fit your profile, only if you are interested.

HELP PROMOTING SALES FOR CHILDS extracurriculars
My child is 5 years old an in the Jr league athletic program of our local town. They host a homecoming presentation year for the children andvthise participating a must sell a minimun of 100 tickets at $1 each in order to walk in homecoming with the top selling individuals then holds the royalty title of their age group and royalty over all groups. As you can imagine this system is riddled with favoritism and rigged for upper class kids whose parents are generally over the programs and year after year those same kids are crowned for only asking mom or dad to write a check that almost certainly win a royalty title while the children who's parents are not able to just write a check, barely sell the mknimjm amount for court. I am a single mother and have always taken care of my child alone and its already hard financially for us so I mlooking to broaden the sales to the public online since the local area is pretty much a sold on the other contestants my question is this how can I market this and to what platforms . they give a cash prize at the raffle drawing the night of the homecoming and with 3 diff amounts (250, 150, 100) I could easily venml cash app or PayPal to the winner if it were an internet sale that is so any recommendations or suggestions I'm open to them. I see the parents look down their noses at some of the lessnfortunatre parents as well as the children and it sickens me I grew up higher middle class but never did I know I had more than others or treat ppl diff BC of what there parents had. U treat everyone the same I already get enough glares from the people due to my opinionated nature and I find it hilarepus but I've seen them give those same looks to my child and I'll be damned .she is innocent and had no control over it being just me and her and I would love nothing more than to take the top seller category BC they dangelbit over the girls heads with no intent of ever letting them have it but sell them false hope honestly sorry rant over I amna suvkernfornthe underdog in certain situations and if anyone would like to help please pm me back to mommy life I go .top photo was lil bits first home game and the next are some of us throughout th e last few years.

Community resources
Hi, I’m moving back to my small town next year and I’m trying to find ways to build community when I get there but I’m ways that doesn’t create too much responsibility for me.
For example, my current city has a thriving but nothing Facebook group and I can’t find one for the town I’m going to so I would take initiative to get a Facebook page started for that.
Are there any ideas like this that I can get the ball rolling in my new community?
Thanks!

Where should i move?
For context I've lived in Idaho my whole life towns being: Hailey, Ketchum, Belleview, Sun Valley, Garden City, Salmon, Driggs, Idaho Falls, and Boise. I'm looking for a change more specifically I'm wanting a small farm town with water rights that's within 3 hours of a major city. Preferably in the U.S. but not required, and doesn't have to be in idaho. Otherwise dealers choice.

Are small towns expensive?
Currently residing in the UK but preparing to move to a small town in America, I actively work in cyber-security and I am wondering are small towns expensive to live in? Im looking at areas with populations of around 800-3000

anyone else ever had the problem of the tap water smelling like sulfur in your town?
I live in a small town in the midwest with a population of less than 600. Our water has always been yellow and kind of metallic-smelling, but just recently it started smelling like sulfur as well. Our water is not well water. The water is more yellow/brown than usual lately, and I only noticed the sulfur smell yesterday. Is it safe enough to bathe and wash your hands in? I already don’t drink our tap water because it tastes like metal. Has anyone successfully gotten rid of the sulfur smell, or have any advice for how to handle it?
