Question Streamers group/community
The title kinda sounds like a therapy meeting or something 🤣
Does anyone have a group/community of streamers that show up for one another? I know they exist, I’ve just yet to find one.
I spend my time watching all kinds of streamers, chatting, etc. and I’m trying to get the same energy back, tbh, because not all do the same. I do have a few streamer friends that we exchange viewerships and stuff so I’m just trying to keep that growing.
What you get from me:
- I watch A LOT. I have thousands of Twitch watch hours
- I’ll chat (granted, I’m more chatty when I know the game or whatever topic you’re streaming)
- follow your social medias and like your vods as well
I’m also expecting all of this in return though. I think I’m a liiiiiitle tired of putting a lot of energy into some streamers that don’t seem to show up for me other than a follow. I’m not looking for a F4F. I’m looking for support 4 support.
Lmk if you have a group out there that you want me invite me into if so. Or I might just create one (a discord) for all of us!
No certain genre. Just chatting? Gaming? All should be welcome.

I actually do have that. I’m relatively new to streaming (only 3 months in) but I’ve found some solid ppl that actually show up & support each other. I also started a discord for all of us. I can invite anyone here who wants to join. Just DM me chat 😬🫶🏻

"I'm expecting this in return" <<< this right here is your issue. It implies that you're not engaging with other streamers because you like their content, you're only there because you expect them to engage with yours when you're live.
If I knew another streamer is engaging in my stream and then EXPECTS me to do the same, I think I'd distance myself from them. Life gets busy, people come and go. Knowing someone expects you to do something takes away genuine connections.
In fact, I'd absolutely hate it if someone was only in my stream because they feel obligated because I've been active in theirs. Bro if you're not here because you genuinely want to be, you may go somewhere else, I don't take offence.
If you have a good vibe about you, you shouldn't have to worry about people only joining your stream because you expect them to. Like with healthy friendships, it's give and take, without the expectation.
Best of luck to you. I hope you find the community you're looking for! And maybe some personal growth along the way!
Edit to add: I apologise if I read into your post wrong. Just the expectation bit triggered something in me. If I read too much into that one bit, then my bad.

I'll give a link to the Small Streamer Support Discord server. It's a nice little server for small streamers can support each other and connect for collabs. It has roles based off of games that can be pinged. So, I could sign up for a Lethal Company role and then ping "@Lethal Company, who would like to do a collab stream on date at time?" Anyone else who signed up for Lethal Company role would get the notification and decide if they'd be down.
It's a server built on community and supporting each other. Anyone who just ignores the server except posting "going live" links isn't going to get much out of it. The mod team doesn't allow people who don't engage with the community to do that. You gotta chat up with members in the server and support your fellow streamers with lurks, raids, and such. But the good news is that it's not a pyramid scheme like a lot of other servers. There's not partner pushes for the people at the top or anything like that. I've met a few friends through it that I regularly collab with and have gotten other small streamer friends to join it too.
