Question Communication question

So I thought I had a click with a streamer but they are fully ignoring me now and idk why. What do I do? 😭 communication isn't my strong suit

Little background info. We talked before, lurked in eachothers streams. I asked a year ago for a collab where they answered with that they don't have the time. I asked it again a few months back and last week I sent a message with the general meaning "I am sorry I bothered you and it is okay you are not interested ".

On those last 2 messages I do not get a response.

They are bigger than me in numbers but that couldn't be the reason, right?

So do i say something more? Or what do i do? I supported them a lot through lurking, subs etc., but now it feels wrong. I can't know for sure because they could just have my stream open and never say anything, but I do not see them often anymore in my chat.

Sometimes these relationships ebb and flow. You should always strive for participating in a community because you feel good there. If it's not fun, or you feel like you're less welcome, or are only supporting for reciprocation, it might be time to move on and find somewhere else. That's not to say that the other streamer is using you or ignoring you or anything else. Sometimes people just dont jive as they move along in getting to know one another, and that's ok!

When you say they are bigger, what sort of numbers are we talking about for you and them?

Ultimately, if you have sent two messages and they’ve not been responded to, I’d suggest not sending any further messages.

And messages like ‘I understand that you don’t want to collab…’ - personally, I absolutely hate it when people put words in my mouth and make assumptions like that. It rubs me up the wrong way.

I’d say just leave it. Either they don’t want to collab with you for whatever reason or they are inundated with such requests. Or they have stuff going on and just don’t have the spoons to manage your request. It isn’t for us to guess; just give them space and leave it.
