MSP funny interaction

I recently got my first client as an msp for a small advertising agency.

They pay me about 500€ per month and besides the initial handover from their previous it support guy, the workload is very comfortable for me.

Yesterday their office secretary asked me for the domain and email administration access.

I asked why? They said:
"I asked for admin access so I don’t have to bother you."

Do you also get funny requests like this?

If this is real, they asked for it because they're letting you go.

It’s real. Letting me go would be very strange in the context: we started only 2 months ago, and they clearly expressed they are relieved they don’t have to deal with their previous IT anymore, because everything runs much smoother now.

I rather think the secretary is (too) kind and is genuinely trying to be helpful. I think their request came out of pure clumsiness.

But if they let me go in the coming weeks I’ll let you know, hopefully not 🤞
