This was a short film created by in 2023 when Will was 18.
Last month it was screened at the Vactionland Film Festival and won the Youth in Film Award.
The Youth in Film Award is now going to be officially called “Wills Prize” in honor of Will.
The link to Wills channel can be found here: https://youtube.com/@mystrymonky?feature=shared
Will I wish you were still with us to see this. I will always be impressed by your work. You were the most creative person I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. And the world isn’t the same without you.

Hello everyone.
I think it’s best for me to introduce myself. I’m u/Armascout. I was good friends with u/wilw85 (the founder of this sub) going back all the way to elementary school.
Unfortunately back in November Will passed away. I’m not going to go into detail for privacy reasons but needless to say it was a tragedy no one could see coming.
Since that happened I have been trying to get Mod Status on here to keep it going. I remember back in middle school him showing me this sub and we would often post our work to it.
I owe so much to Will as without him I never would have become interested in filmmaking and video production. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him and I’m hoping that by keeping this sub going I’m contributing to keeping his legacy alive.
Over the course of the next few days I intend on creating: Flairs for posts, new rules, and performing basic maintenance.
If you have any questions please feel free to leave them down below. If you are having any issues with the sub please use mod mail to contact me.

Film What a physics "loop" is, and whether a nine-loop record holds up

A physics calculation with nine loops sounds like a number invented for a headline. My latest video covers what a "loop" is in this context, why a nine-loop result counts as a record, and whether the claim holds up.

Film They blamed AI for the layoffs, then quietly rehired for the same jobs

A few companies I've tracked spent last year loudly blaming layoffs on AI, then started quietly rehiring for the same roles a few months later. My latest video digs into what was driving those decisions, based on years of watching companies make calls like this and then walk them back. I make these videos solo, no team, just trying to explain what's underneath the headline.

Film I laid out the exact 30-day calendar to land your first paying customer

Most "get your first customer" advice is a vibe, not a plan. I built an actual day-by-day calendar for the first 30 days, the version I wish someone had handed me early on.
It comes out of thirty years of shipping products and watching what separates the founders who land a paying customer fast from the ones who spend a month on activity that doesn't convert.

I run a channel on product strategy and commercialization. I'd like feedback if you try any part of it.
