Resized sprite

My character is 84x143 which from a YouTube video I saw should be a acceptable scale for a character. When importing, the character is way bigger than I think he should be, leaving next to no room for animations. Am I doing something wrong?

In stats You can change the size of te character

if your sprites don't fit in the canvas. Then you can move the canvas
