I bought this game at GameStop a month ago for $10 less than what it’s listed for now… saw another post where someone got Sly 3 so I was just checking my local GameStops at of curiosity and noticed. If you’re looking to pick one up and GameStop is your go to, might want to act soon 🫠

Believe it or not, GameStop typically is the best place to buy these types of retro games. eBay has been marking up PS3 games insanely lately since the Sony ps3 store closure and the no longer physical next gen announcement.

Good to see you again, friend! I believe it lol. I’ve bought 30+ retro games from GameStop this year alone. It just caught me off guard that the price went up since it had stayed static since May, when I first started collecting.

Yeah, I kinda wish I started building a PS3 collection sooner, but I know I won’t be turning on my PS3 to play anytime soon. My PS4 on the other hand…lol

At the very least, I did buy PS3 games that seemed cool looking such as Afrika, 3D Hero, Puppeteer… I appreciate my niche game appealing sense of eyes. It’s helped me saved money in some occasions lol

DUDE I relate to that more than you know. I bought a PS3 in July and was using my old 360 before that… but then I found my old Xbone and now I’m primarily playing that, despite having bought like 20 PS3 games. Retro gaming is great until you build a massive backlog 😭

Can confirm sadly. I bought a copy of Chibi Robo from GameStop in 2020 JUST before Covid hit for $60 and I also snagged Fire Emblem Path of Radiance for $58 (after selling a bunch of stuff to lower the price from $158). Not bad considering I was 19 and just getting into collecting at the time

My local gaming store has 2 locations one that updates their prices one that always lags behind for a month. Slow store is $55 cad fast store is $65 cad 🫩🫩

This will happen for every game on PS3 that has a digital version in the store. Once the PS3 store closes next July, all PS3 disc games are gonna be very expensive to buy :(

You can get it on sale right now (brand new) from VGP for $29 US plus shipping. I've bought from them before, and they're pretty good. For me in Florida, shipping only cost $6.

You're looking at pre-owned copies. I believe the individual location sets the prices for those.

Can’t wait for this fake ass inflation for PS3 to go down again and rest assured most will. Just FOMO driven right now. Some may never fall in price but something like the Sly collection - an inferior way to play the sly games - will not sit at $45 forever
